Na, 05-07 is peak Kobe. He was scoring leader and 1st team defense back to back years. Only Jordan has done that. Unfortunately the Lakers wasted Kobe's peak years
That kobe wasnt the best version lyf Kobe, but still better than most players in nba history. Better than lebron, curry, durant, Luka, Shai giannis and even jokic. If that kobe olayed in this era, 49 pts would happen every 2 games.
@@bluedot6926casual 😂 Kobe with same loaded roster like these superstars plus way softer and weaker defense along with way more spacing would have more efficient numbers obviously
@@cornelius8124 Kobe had 15 all star teammates through his career. He had Shaq who is a top 10 player of all time being the main guy for 3 of his rings. Later he had Gasol and then a super team with Dwight and Nash. Jokic never played with an all star in his career. Im comparing their efficiency compared with their peers. These guys are more efficient than an average player today, than Kobe was to a average player back then. In 08/09 he was shooting barely higher than league average efficiency. He was too bad of a 3 point shooter to take advantage of todays spacing. They are just going to let him take long 2s which he shoots 40%. If you were to say that Peja, Nash or Ray Allen wouldve been better today, than that would make sense, with him, no.
@@cornelius8124The younger guys he mentioned I get, but a lot of people that mention the physicality in defense of players like Kobe seem to forget that Bron and KD played in the 2000s as well, Kd not for as long but you get the point. I think Jokic would do just fine against physicality since a lot of his game is skilled based not just physicality. KD would score those buckets in damn near any era, and bron was playing mvp basketball for 7 years in the same era that Kobe played in. Averaged 31 ppg the same year Kobe averaged 35 and A.I put up 33. I agree on guys like SGA and Curry though, not sure how effective they’d be in the dead ball era with fewer foul calls and wayyy more physical defense.
@bluedot6926 You're on the finest crack. Jokic, Curry, Durant, Luka, Shai are all average or below average defenders. They not even close to Kobe. Giannis has top 15 potential but still not Kobe level. Kobe or Lebron is a toss-up, but obviously I'm taking Kobe
08-09 season Kobe is masterpiece!
Man I miss him
damn...almost 50 with only 3 3´s... kobe
Most complete version of Kobe

As he got older Kobe obviously developed his game but for some reason I prefer to watch #8 Kobe when he had the fro, he was so fun to watch
Thats the version right there that really looked like mj
02-03; out his own mouth, “end of ‘03, my game was complete”
Bean was probably still considered the best player in the league at that time. RIP
Kobe was killing Matt Barnes
u a youngin then
@@lucas-kr7xd you must not be looking at the same highlights
Damn you never had a video of 1080 quality did you?
Bruh I didnt even know Shaq was on PHX wtf 😭

A foul at the 3 point line
Goated, MJ kobe bron 🐐

He is better than Shai from this list, thats about it. All of the other guys are more efficient scorers and better playmakers.
