I can't be the only one thinking that this Simba is fine as hell.
+Joya Johnson I'm straight and agree completely. Wish I had a chest like that.
+Joya Johnson 36 others agree, myself included! A sculpture that even Michelangelo would be proud of, if he were still alive! ;)
+Tracey Henderson The Simba isn't Jason Raize, he's Nick Afoa
Veronica Constantinides Ah yes, I should have known! Thanks for the clarification! Still, both men were / are handsome, as "The Lion King".
PREACH GIRL AMEN
this Simba almost put me in tears - the climb was superbly done :)
The climb kills me also.
JOHN PUTNAM me too
I love him so much
I was in tears!!
Love it
There's a reason why the Lion King is one of the best musicals of all time such an amazing play the artwork the music to dancing is absolutely beautiful and everysingle moment is breathtaking I've only went once and I'll say it was one of the greatest experience's I've had in my life such a special moment
Iris J. I totally agree with the African designs and the puppetry
@@theamazingandtalentedblake8296 Honestly I think it's more then just the art it's the love they put into the lion king that makes it so special this is the #1 Musical in the World with over 20 Tony Awards and many other Awards this production is absolutely amazing and you'd be absolutely lucky to see this at least once in your life the atmosphere of this show made it an amazing experience as well highly Recommend
Iris J. I saw it in 2011
I love the symbolism of Simba literally ascending to the top of Pride Rock... coming into his own and leaving his low point, the Gorge, behind. There is hope. So beautiful.
There are also supposed to be Christian parallels to this
I just love how each steps goes with the music .. just flawless
When Simba climbs up the stairs I literally see the Movie Simba! It's just so perfect!
And what is it with the Lion King that I always cry watching it? :')
Vera Be Hans Zimmer soundtrack ;)
I always cry when Mufasa dies
xoxoPTXandSashaPietersebiggestfanxoxo me too
anytime I hear circle of life I start crying. lol! arguably the greatest song ever
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the amazing voice the guy playing the ram has? He was awesome! Just wish the choir was singing along too. Maybe the mics weren't working that day.
Edit: Antelope, sorry 😅
It looks like they were singing. Maybe they had no mics
What happened to the choir backing? Was this the tour set?
I think they were edited out until the last part, which sucks because otherwise the quality of this video is great,
Antelope!
Yes. There is something Wrong here with the editing of mics or the mics werent working. There are suposed to be backing vocals. The High antelope (leadsinger)- there is Sandile Gontsana.
This movie and musical is my entire childhood,I am 16 and turning 17 in May,but I never get bored or tired of wacthing this movie or wacthing vidoes of the musical,I saw it before in Singapore and it is amazing and breath taking, just like the movie, and this movie's opening the Circle of Life inspired me to visit Africa in person and see all those beatuifle creatures,I miss Disney movies like the Lion King, cause they put such heart and soul into everything, the characters, the animation, the background but most importantly the music never gets old,I well still be wacthing this movie as an adult for sure.
Why do they take out the part where Mufasa says "remember" as Simba climbs to the top of pride rock? I think that's one of the most emotional lines in the story.
same, I played Mufasa in my schools production and I was honestly waiting for it.
+TheIceWatkins They do!! I saw it live a couple of days ago and when he reaches the top he says it !! I cried like a baby ahaha
+TheIceWatkins I think there is a microphone not working or something. You can faintly hear it but it isn't as loud as the other singing.
+riles k Really? In my school's production of it the guy who's playing Mufasa gets to say it. Interesting..
he said it when I saw it
Puberty hit Simba right
Alec Morta Lol.....y’all r too much!!
Lol
I saw this cast live and god are they legendary. I never get tired of watching them.
I would really love to see this in a theatre. 1:25 really does look like the most majestic dab ever, but whoever’s decision it was for Simba and his mother to bow to each other in affectionate reassurance and respect truly took it to a different level for me! You can see the uncertainty in his eyes before he climbs and Nick portrays it perfectly! 🦁🐱
miss_kpoland 93 I saw it in Atlanta early last year... it was one of my dreams to see it and I’m so glad I was able to
There is nothing like it. Maybe not the best show, but easy the best visuals
I mean if you want to come to Germany... the musical takes place in Hamburg
This part always had me in tears, was such a great show
This Australia cast was so strong, loved this show so much. Can't wait to see it again when they come back.
The Australian cast had a loving family vibe to it. If you observe the west end company, the vibe is the complete opposite. Weird!
***** I know he is, I'm just saying the cast that played the Australian shows were really good.
Warning for massive chills from 1:15 and onwards. On second thought: warning for chills during the whole thing.
+LivnamKaur Major, Major chills.
+Emory Blake so true. Watched it live. It was too powerful, I cried.
LivnamKaur de Electra qued
❤ and the waterworks
Joy Wei same
Why am I crying
...because your mom didn't teach you how to punctuate, probably.
Because it's so freaking emotional that's why
Why am I so emotional watching this... crying so hard right now, this is so perfect. Thats just unlucky that we can’t hear all the microphones here but the emotion is still here on their faces and this song and omg everythiing ❤️ « remember »
Years late, but for those confused the baby lion is Kiara, not Simba, since this is the ending song. She was born at the end of the Lion King.
One of the greatest plays I've ever seen in my life such a beautiful experience
Recently saw it for the 4th time, and I STILL cry during Circle of Life and the finale! BEAUTIFUL musical!
i agree its very touching
+Miranda Sosa Only saw it twice, but same.
Miranda Sosa 5th for me now and I've cried every time x
I was lucky enough to see this production, with my daughter, when we were on holiday in Australia. It was a fine production. With a brilliant cast.
That's one hot Simba...
+LV RB He was there for my show oh my gOSH
+LV RB AMEN
Who knew?
+Wolf Hannah he was there for my show too xD
+LV RB r u gay
100x better than the new movie.... No matter how goofy they look they kept the soul of what made the lion what it is...
I refused to see the movie. Nothing can be better than this. Seen this 5x and would go another 100
Everytime i watch this i can't breath. and i cry. a lump in my throat. for a better world with faith and love
The same happens to me... it's so beautiful. Faith and love are definitely needed these days...
I love the little bow the giraffe and the cheetah give each other. It’s such a nice little running motif
Even though I saw this show once in person, watching this video brings tears to my eyes, because out of happiness for Simba to finally claim his rightful place on the throne. The way his friends, Nala and Zazu (sorry to misspell his name) bowed to Simba. Zazu calling Simba “Your highness” made me cry a little bit more harder. As much as there are many shows I would love to see, I don’t mind watching Lion King again.
He actually says Majesty, which is the correct way to address a King or Queen. Highness is only for Princes or Princess.
1:16 always give me the feels as he goes up to roar ;)
it nice.
I know how that is. Every time I see the part where Simba roars, and he and Nala stand on top of Pride Rock, I always bow to them.
Nick Afoa is definitely the best Simba there is. I met him by chance after the performance I saw and I was SO SO HAPPY.
I like the way he moves. It reminds me of Jason Raize, who I think is was the best Simba.
R.I.P Jason Raize :'(
Not going to argue who's a better Simba, we'll be here all year, lol, but I've seen Nick in London as Simba, and met him too, he's super sweet and nice.
@UC-tQSRYOif480K_REV78puA He was on West End for a couple of years, don't know how long, but I've seen him January 2019 on stage, met him July 2019, then Covid hit, and a few months after he went back home.
As for being Simba in Australia, I believe that's a good few years ago, before he ended up in London.
I saw this musical in this exact theatre, and it is one of the best experiences of my life
the lady at the top playing nala at the end ..OMG i love her voice! its amazing.
Nia Holloway is amazing
+warmfreeze She didn't sing at all in this video...
Her name is Josslyn Hlenti and yes, her voice is beautiful. :) she is currently performing in Germany's Der könig der löwen.
Can I just say that Sarabi looks beautiful?
She does
this simba is called nick afoa- he performed in the west end production. i met him once after a show in london in 2017, and let me say he was one of the loveliest people i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. in my opinion he was one of the best simbas there’s ever been, i really wish i could see him perform again
I just love every video that I find about The Lion King and yes the young man plays the Lion King truly is a king and the music takes my breath away tears of joy come down everytime I hear it thank you for such a beautiful song a such marvelous actors God be with all of you
I don't know if it's the same chick who plays Rafiki at the show I saw a couple weeks ago, but she was easily the stand out of the entire cast, and that's saying a lot. Her and Zazu stole the whole thing.
Would it be me stating the obvious if I said that Rafiki and Zazu are amazing in the musical? I totally agree with you, I just wanted to add my two cents :3
I'm in this musical and I auditioned for Zazu unfortunately I didn't get that I got a backup dancer in other scenes :(
+Katy Convery not this musical but a different one tho
Nick Cervenka
Emma Prince si gracias uggkiJHCXPPUIIABcD
This musical ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY - not because it’s sad but because it’s so damn powerful ;-;
Booked 4 months ahead to get like 4 rows back..
This was the best show ive ever seen and may ever see..
Amazing show!
It's so beautiful
Nothing beats experiencing this in person.
The puppetry in this show is incredible! Not to mention how handsome and flawless this simba is!
It gives me chills of a flashback how I enjoyed my childhood because of the "the lion king" and I am so excited for them to come here in manila. ❤️❤️❤️
Took me a sec to really grasp how those giraffes were moving and where the human was 🙈🤣
spectacularly done, right?
I cry every time I watch this, so beautifully moving.
i was so blessed to be able to watch this in London.. my eyes were so wide and i was teary when this came up. so touching. best thing ever.
I just found out why the adult elephant is missing.
Three of the leg operators are Shenzi Banzai and Ed
But also in-universe that elephant is definitely dead
my man Simba out here dabbin"!
ya i know...it was a joke dude
I saw this musical in Chicago and I've gotta say it was fantastic. Adult Simba and cub Simba were excellent actors. Adult Nala and cub Nala were also excellent actors. A musical I'd highly recommend for people of all ages

I saw this last night and oh my I got so many chills during the end! Such an amazing show!
THIS MUSICAL WAS AMAZING!!!
I'm such a big kid, I had to stop myself from crying, like for real. I love it
Bought this as a surprise for my girlfriend. Never seen such a beautifull musical. If you get the chance go and see this. Perfect for the whole family
The word is beautiful.
Just hoping that someday there will be a filmed version of one of the live performances for people like myself who live in a rural community and will never have the opportunity to see it live…I couldn’t afford it even if it were playing someplace semi-locally. I was so grateful when whomever finally decided to film the original CATS on Broadway (way before the movie version with Rebel Wilson was made….which I think myself and one friend are the only fans…haha). Theatre is wonderful….but there is a whole segment of society that never gets to enjoy it…except for snippets on UA-cam, like this one, for which I am grateful.
Thank you for posting.
Oh my goodness. So beautiful. I want to watch this live SO much but I'm broke ;-;
We love your classic music and the whole world should support classic music and elegantly artists!

This is where after crying a couple of times during the show I flooded the whole aisle

The word is truly.
@@ndhan72 Yes I'm really waiting two years for a spelling Nazi to stroll by to correct me on that. Fing muppet.
I newly was in Hamburg in Germany, were the musical takes place, they improved it so well 😍
