Yep… same goes for songs about suicide… you hear the slogan ‘it’s not weak to speak’ or ‘R U Ok’ and emos are like ‘yeah we said this two decades ago and you just called us all emotional…’
I didn’t realize this song was about drinking and driving! Has a whole new meaning for me! I don’t drink and drive but I do dumb shit and this makes me want to better myself!!
My cousin and his best friend died in a car wreck on their way to school many years ago. The driver of the car they were in was speeding but he survived while Justin and Cody died. A video was made for them and this song was used. Always makes me tear up.
I sob everytime I hear this song. My life is so far from what I planned and what I could be due to a bad fall that led to severe disability that started before I was even out of my twenties. I ask myself all the time How could this have happened to be. Your reaction was so touching because it took me a very long time not to feel anger and hurt. Mel you are right there is no point in blame. A great song and I'm glad you got it too!
I had an entire paragraph written but deleted. I will say this I grew up with an alcoholic father who started drinking at 10 yrs old. He has been sober for many many years now but alcohol ruined his body. he's in his mid 50s and needs transplants for his heart and kidneys. I have also lost family members due to drunk drivers one was a cousin crossing to preschool. All I can say is we all struggle with something and don't always know how to ask for help. Simple Plan has other songs you should react to: Welcome to My Life, Perfect, I'm Just a Kid, and I'd Do Anything
as soon as those cars touched EVERYONES life was changed forever and everyone involved is destroyed so terrible.... 1 wrong move kills EVERYONE not just the victim
I was just in a horrific car accident, I was the only one involved, and I am lucky to be alive. I was not drinking and driving, but this song touches my soul every time I hear it.
I was 45 years old when I fell in love with Simple Plan. I also love Green Day and some other groups. But after 2010 music dramatically changed and definitely not for the better.
Simple Plan is so underrated, I really hope to see more reactions of their videos from you guys. They've been so overlooked it's ridiculous, they were some of my biggest influences during my teen years. I love this reaction for sure, I do wish y'all had waited until the very end to see the message by the band about teen drunk drivers and the statistics relating to that.
They showed us this in high-school when I was a sophomore. 15 years old showed us a drinking and driving video. They knew kids did it. Was the worst video I seen up until then. This video is intense. It's about him not getting love and support, he drank and drove, and effects others lives
Hold On by Good Charlotte is a really deep one. You will need tissues and it has a really great message. That song helped save my life several years ago
I’ve always loved this song, but hearing it again yesterday caused a tidal wave of emotions for me. My friend was killed in a motorcycle accident trying to help another biker who broke down in the fast lane and was hit by a distracted driver. While this song talks about drunk driving, it’s eye opening to all of the vehicle accidents that happen, especially to motorcyclists since they so vulnerable. It affects everyone
Take the night we meet has a similar story line but this song is like take place before the night we meet cause that song sings about him being haunted by the girl he accidentally had killed just like here how could this happen to him
Seems like they didn't pick up on the focus of the song, but did appreciate it for being a good tune regardless. This is a song warning people about the dangers of drinking and driving fwiw...
I genuinely hate how this song was made into a meme to take the piss out of "Emo's" It has a very powerful message about drink-driving
I feel the same
Agreed!👍🏻

Don't get me wrong. There were plenty of instances where it was funny. But there were so many times where it was just ran into the ground.
Yep… same goes for songs about suicide… you hear the slogan ‘it’s not weak to speak’ or ‘R U Ok’ and emos are like ‘yeah we said this two decades ago and you just called us all emotional…’
If I'm not mistaken, they wrote this song for a friend who died because someone was driving drunk.Great song
Also watch Simple Plans....Welcome to My Life because that hits home too...
IMO do the live version. (They’re all sitting on stools.)
By far the best performance.
I didn’t realize this song was about drinking and driving! Has a whole new meaning for me! I don’t drink and drive but I do dumb shit and this makes me want to better myself!!
I thought it was about depression and suicide because that is how I related to it
@@TheIndigoSystem why not both
you can always trust simple plan to have relatable lyrics.
Oh man I totally forgot about Simple Plan! I used to LOVE them!

For me it was just a degenerative condition and Fibromyalgia along with mental illness and trauma but this song hits hard
@@TheIndigoSystem I’m sorry you go through so much pain too! This does hit really hard.

No views in 2 days? This is a great song man. There's gotta be something wrong w yt right now.
Ya their videos aren’t showing up in my feed...I’ve missed so many!
Wow a channel doing simple plan reactions? I’m here for it
Other simple plan songs to react to: “I’d do anything” and “I’m just a kid”
How about the one that Simple Plan fans are torn on: "I Don't Wanna Go to Bed"?
I'd say Perfect myself.
I love all of their songs and I am 63 now.
Perfect and `save You as well
And Crazy too
So many good songs by them
damn i havent heard these guys in over 10yrs
Another tear jerker by Simple Plan is Gone Too Soon (no music video though), I can't listen to that one without sobbing!
as soon as those cars touched EVERYONES life was changed forever and everyone involved is destroyed so terrible.... 1 wrong move kills EVERYONE not just the victim
Omg love simple plan!! One of my favorite bands!!!
I was just in a horrific car accident, I was the only one involved, and I am lucky to be alive. I was not drinking and driving, but this song touches my soul every time I hear it.
Brings me back to to high school
Sending love God gave you a light that will shine on Mel.

I teared up on that one

Simple Plan is most definitely not underrated. They have 7.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
I love this song i tried to end my life to it and wvery since then it always been one of my favorite songs ever
Listening " welcome tô my life
I have been there... with that question
Its a powerful song.

Am crying already
This is a great song
The video represents drinking and driving and the lives it destroyed in the video.
Huh, never realized how similar this video and Seether's - Rise Above This video is.
i got another one! SUM 41 "Pieces"

Sorry for your loss
I’ve loved this song too it reminded me of my aunt who died 2 years ago
also react to Perfect by Simple Plan
I do believe (but don't kill me if I'm wrong) that all the proceeds from this song went to MADD (Mothers against drunk driving)
Not all proceedes but it was a heavey percentage that did go to them
Take the night we meet has a similar story line but this song is like take place before the night we meet cause that song sings about him being haunted by the girl he accidentally had killed just like here how could this happen to him
This song makes me cry :(
Welcome to My Life
Reciones a crazy es la maldita canción de este mundo

Please do Korn- cold or Korn- black as the soul
These kind of songs are much much better than ghetto rap,
