(This is not the docker version of Nextcloud, this was installed as an offical plugin on my TrueNAS server itself)
Your on a NAS, if on a VPS or SELFHOSTED don't forget to restart your webserver!

this wasn't totally what i needed since I run Unraid. I was able to find the file myself but didn't know where in the file to edit. You did show where to edit the tile to add the domain I needed so it was helpful in the end and got me up and going.
I’m happy to hear this! I posted this hoping to help out a few people either with the exact steps or to either figure out the direction they need to be in. I had a friend help me come up with these steps, unfortunately I’m not the networking expert I wish I was lol

Now my new issue is when i go to my domain name it redirects me to local IP address 😭
That’s odd… I’ve never seen it do that before! Personally, I would just make a new nextcloud install at that point 😂

Ah, no idea. Check the account that you’re doing it under maybe? Make sure it’s root?

nextcloud/config" command im getting a "No such file or directory" error, any way to fix this?
Are you running it using TrueNAS?

can you use a TLD ( top level domain ) instead of an ip address?
I’m not sure, but I would say probably not. I’m not super big into the networking field so my knowledge is limited.

I think I am starting to show my age when I say VI is a much better editor. I've used it for so many decades, I wont use another text editor unless is has VIM hotkeys.

I’m not super big into the networking field. I had a friend help me out with this solution. I know enough to run my truenas interface and some other basics but most of the time I’m totally lost!!
Vi is the standard text editor in Linux/unix. Before the gui, hot keys had to be cleverly done. When you mastered it, it was significantly faster then using a mouse. Yeah, I'm showing my age.
