Matter in Hand would be great to pull motifs and stitch littles! Love Jeanette Douglas! You are so fun to watch! Yes, IA is Iowa. The cat piece is awesome! I'm a dog person too. So funny as I misinterpreted that is was a real kitty cat!
Just found you and I love your video. I live in Ottawa and it was nice to hear that you enjoyed yourself here. I also like Ann from Knowledge and Needles. She is a wonderful person and so helpful. Love your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Romantic Tangle - I’m sure that’s who you were talking about! Love your channel - I just discovered it recently. I’m a Toronto girl, who finished growing up (grade 4 through grade 13) in Galt, as it was then. I’m really about your parents’ age, and I remember driving through Hespeler (forget the spelling!) to Guelph to visit my cousins regularly, passing the old woolen mill, which was closed and abandoned by then, if I remember correctly. I always love hearing you ramble about living in that area - it brings back lots of long ago memories! I’m an ex-pat now, living in the US in LA County, but love anything to do with Canada 🇨🇦, and your chats are as close to home as I have heard in years. Oh, and, by the way, some time ago, I watched a FlossTube gal in Toronto talking about her local shop, called Gitta’s, now in Mississauga (forgot that spelling, too!). I knew it years ago, when it was in Bloor West Village in Toronto. It was wonderful then, and I would give anything now to be able to visit it again. Love your creativity, and thanks for sharing it! Cheers, Judy
Yes, that's exactly right! Romantic Tangle. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel, I'll have capture a bit more local footage for you. Yep I'm in Hespeler not too far from the mill that became Lens Mill. It only just moved a couple of years ago around the corner from the high school. Not that anything is really far from anything else lol. I'll have to check out Gitta's on one of my trips through to Toronto. Thanks!
I’d love to see local footage!! Thanks! I remember taking my aunt, the one who introduced me to needlepoint when I was a teen, to the Mary Maxim store in Paris in 1998, when I was last working in Toronto. I loved it, and we bought wonderful cross stitch kits, my first full coverage. If you haven’t been there, you might enjoy it. Paris is only about 7 miles beyond Galt, as I remember it, and it is a magical 10,000 square foot barn of a place.
@@judywarburton3085 I think I might have been there a few years ago but I don't remember having much of an impression that it had a lot of cross-stitch at that time. Not sure if that's still the case but perhaps a little drive to check it out would be a good idea
Thank you for the video. Alberta girl here I’ve watched your tutorial videos which are great I’ll have to give the framing one a go soon. Shannon Christine I love her patterns and I’m participating in her Christmas ornament group this year a new pattern every month for 9 months. She is actually from Kamloops and her sister in law is Erin Elizabeth designs and she’s in Winnipeg. Another new designer is Darlene Deon and she’s from Nova Scotia and she has some cute smaller designs also.
I was diagnosed this year with a heart issue PVC's so tons of appointments and meds (which I've never been on previously) so a learning curve for me. The docs have been phenomenal and I'm happy to report a big increase in heart health and an ablation procedure for my birthday in September! You are a wonderful teacher and flosstuber and a lovely lady❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been scary. But getting a much-needed ablation is the perfect gift. ;) Thank you so much. You are always such a generous commenter and I am delighted every time. ❤️
I'm a monogamous stitcher! I totally get it! Laura, you look so young, I'm just surprised you're an empty nester! Congrats! I'm delicious too😂 and not a redhead but Scottish roots so burn easily. I'm in Tampa Bay 35 years. It's HOT 🔥 There's a product I recommend called Stingkill. It's a teensy tube of roll on. I get 50 bites at a time too. It will give you some relief.
I can empathise, I’m delicious too 😒 in fact I’ve just applied hydrocortisone cream to several bites after gardening in my damp uk 🇬🇧 garden. Before retiring I was a NHS nurse and endured the transition from paper notes to electronic data. We used ‘system one’ the bane of my life with all the glitches and teething problems 😵💫

Oh thank you so much! Isn't she lovely? I'm glad you found me. :)
I love what you're doing with that cat piece from the thrift shop!
Thank you so much Mychelle. I'm frequently inspired by your forrays into the thrift shops. :)

Lovely video! FYI Shannon Christine is Canadian and is located in Kamloops BC.
Oh I love that tidbit! Thanks for the Intel. I'm always happy to find great Canadian content. :)
I am headed to Knowledge and Needle next Saturday. I think I need to have a budget because I can totally lose control.
OMG that's fantastic! I totally relate lol. I'd say set a budget you don't mind doubling on the spot. ;)

Oh thanks, lucky face genes I think, lol. Makes up for the deliciousness. 😆
I’ve been to Florida in August, I BELIEVE you! 🔥🔥🔥

Oh you betcha, you can't get new software with zero glitches. I officially award you the purple heart on both scores! 💜 👏👏👏🥰
