Out of every video I have seen on UA-cam.. this is hands down the best tank/interview in my opinion. I have seen this video maybe 15 times in the last 2 years. Please if possible get a update on this system. Keep up the great work 👊🏽 love the content. Congratulations on the baby as well

She did say one of the only things she runs is carbon and a skimmer so Organics are filtered, and her tank speaks for itself. 10 year old tank and looks great.

Dev this is by far the most inspiring tank that I’ve seen. She really takes an approach that logically makes a lot of sense. She manually does things and allow the chemistry to swing within reason to build up hardiness. Which makes so much sense. Just like is humans we need to build up tolerances if we get sick so she makes perfect sense. I love this video. And her simplicity puts her in the drivers seat because she’s the controller. I love it. I will have this video on repeat. She makes her fish work and do their jobs. Perfectly natural. Thanks Dev. Another video that’s A+. Maybe on your next live stream. Do something about simplicity in reef tanks and her thought process in her approach to reefing.

100% credit where it's due. Wincey is an inspiration of how simple reef tanks work. Grated, having approx. 300 gallons of water it only helps her style of reefing when adding her rodi water and elements manually. It's set ups like this that bring people into this hobby believing it is possible. Although much of the advanced hardware is nice to have, it can also be very off putting for and even a vulnerability in making us lazy. On the other hand, we wouldn't be able to attend shows such as RAP, Aquashella & MACNA if we didn't have automation ;)
    Thanks Dev,
    A.

@@shaloon64 Mostly her set up and method is pretty simple for a tank that size. This is especially true with her dosing by hand instead of using an auto doser. You can get a whole lot of devices for a reef aquarium that you don't necessarily need but that may make life a little easier depending on how you look at it. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Newer reefers need to understand that because they can spend a whole lot of money on equipment they don't have to have. Is it nice to have an auto doser sure (has positives and negatives) but do you need one, no, you have hands.

Pretty informative!!! Great video! The only thing is the evaporation part that is misleading, evaporation can not be considered a water change at all, especially when you top it of with RODI hence pure H2O, so you are not adding any valuable element apart from pure water and when water evaporates the dissolved organics will stay in your tank. Though I really like her approach of change water every 7-10 weeks once you have a stable mature system;)

I like the BRS logic find out what works out for you and perfect that . Not everything will work for everyone. Sounds like she has a solid plan for her . If people were to try and mirror her it could fail. if you find your happy spot that works and perfect that will work best.

It’s true. Everyone needs to find their groove for their own specific tank

Reef Dude, "So flakes and reef roids... huh." 😂 I'm dying over here. I thought the same thing, but if her tank looks that good, I'm trying it.
