  • Oh, so you want one of those hotel-style shower heads? Hey, I'm Justin Ball, The Shower Head Guy!
    The Speakaman Brass Icon showerhead is the kind of cult-classic shower head that people hunt down after using one of them at a nice hotel.
    In this video, I'll do a little unboxing, talk about the features and then show you what it looks like with water running through it in the various spray modes and angles.
    It's sleek, delivers solid spray pressure and is built from brass. No wonder it's been such a big hit for the past few years when it comes to fixed showerheads.
    Available on Amazon: amzn.to/3sSDkDF
    While the shower head face is small, the pressure packs a punch. One of the main features of this shower head is the Anystream spray functions. Essentially how this works is as you rotate the lever on the shower head, the nozzles either push out or pull in. When they push out, the water streams get larger, making for a more drenching spray and a bit less pressure. On the other hand, when they pull in the streams get narrower, making for a more concentrated, high pressure shower.
    The model that I reviewed in this video is the 2.5 GPM version, but there are lower flow models too, if that's what you're looking for.
    It also ticks the box in the durability, being made from brass. However, there are other models out there that look the same but are made from plastic. So make sure you grab this model if you are looking for the most durable one.

    Great video actually showing the head in use. So many channels spend 10 minutes talking and 8 seconds showing it in use

    I have 3 speakman anystreams in my home. I want to thank you so much for your fix. It was very easy and unleashed the true power of this shower head. The water flow is amazing.

    Pro video tip: make your background black so we can actually see the water streams.

    Thank you for the extensive review, do you know how this compares to the S-2251 in terms of water pressure?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  2 роки тому

      You are very welcome, Susan. The only difference between the two is that the 2552 has 6 jets while the 2551 has 8. That reduces the overall number of individual sprays from 64 to 48.

    • @kmaksymow1
      @kmaksymow1 2 роки тому +1

      So, does the 8 jets and 64 sprays equate to a more powerful spray? Or is the head with 6 jets under more pressure, and therefore more powerful? Also, you said that you would rate that model a 4.7. Would you recommend a shower head that you would consider a 5 rating?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  2 роки тому +3

      There are 8-jet and 6-jet models available for the Icon, Vintage, and Retro Anystream shower heads. The 8-jet models produce better water coverage but are noticeably more expensive. The 6-jet model is exceptionally popular, and reviews are overwhelmingly positive, so despite the fewer jets, the performance is still strong. If I were to recommend a shower head with overall rating of 5, I would recommend the Hammerhead Showers Multi-Function handheld as it is made for solid metal instead of plastic and 3 spray functions with the massage spray setting being the highest pressure.

    What’s the best GPM for really low water flow?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  Рік тому

      The best GPM for really low water flow would depend on your specific needs and the available options in the market. We offer 1.75 and 1.8 GPM options in low flow and 2.5 GPM in high flow. A standard 2.5 GPM showerhead uses 2.5 gallons of water each minute. That's 25 gallons for a 10-minute shower while a low-flow 1.8 GPM showerhead uses 1.8 gallons of water each minute. That's only 18 gallons of water for a 10-minute shower.

    I just bought one from Amazon. All brass. It did not come with a washer-should there be one? If so where can I buy one?

      We no longer stoke the speakman S-2252 Brass shower head. I would recommend contacting the manufacturers for further assistance.
