Quick question. How can I determine how much I'm spending to make and sell a T-shirt. Like the price of the vinyl, how much vinyl I'm actually using to make the shirt ( how much it costs per inch) and the cost of the actual shirt itself. Don't want to short change myself. Thanks so much. New subbie here.
I have a similar spreadsheet that I have been using for years. I am trying to update it to work out a "Floor" price for selling items that includes a 10% profit margin and also the selling fees between various marketplaces, ranging from 10-14%. I can't get my head around that formula. Any suggestions?
@@BookkeepingMaster It's more complex than that. Selling fees vary depending on the sell price. So the amount needs to be worked backwards not forwards. I'll keep trying to find the answer. Thanks for responding.
This spreadsheet is incorrect as ebay and paypal fees come from your selling price including postage, not cost price ex postage. They always take their percentage from retail incl post.

How do you workout a selling price based on a desired profit?
Work backward. Start with the profit you wish to make, add all expenses, you will then have the selling price. Thanks for watching.

calculate how much the material in bulk cost then divide that by what your using per item. Then subtract from your selling price.

Its not incorrect if you're not charging the customer for shipping. But you are correct if you are charging the customer a separate shipping fee.
