Gord, It's great to see you back in action, I was wondering what had happened. When we have a love for making video we should just do it and not worry what others think, often times others do appreciate what we do. Life does happen and it's good that we have this UA-cam to Help us make a come back. Look forward to seeing your many more videos.
Hey @GoPappyGo, great to see your feedback. You are so right - the passion to create never left me, but life challenges got too in the way. I'm grateful to be on the comeback trail again. And I really love the point you make that 'it's good that we have this UA-cam to help us make a comeback'. I've never thought about how grateful I should be for the platform. And it's great to see that you are recently producing again!
"Dear Gord Isman, You are one of my favorite creators, and I was thrilled to see your video after such a long time. Since English is not my native language, I watched your entire video, extracted the script, and translated it line by line into my own language (Urdu) to fully understand your message. Seeing you back made me so happy! You are a hero to me, and I’ve learned so much from you. I even started creating tutorials on Camtasia after learning from you. However, there wasn’t much traffic on this topic. Later, when my daughter became ill, I had to take a 6-month break, and my channel froze. But when I started making videos on finance, my channel began to grow again, and subscribers started coming in. Thank you for being such an inspiration!"
Hi Nasser. Thanks for your kind words and for sharing about your UA-cam journey. It's a joy to be back, especially after so long an absence. That's very cool that you started to do Camtasia tutorials! Camtasia is very niche, so there's not nearly as much view volume as other editors. There's so much changed in the video editing landscape over the last few years. I still love Camtasia and I continue to use it, as well as some other editors as well, like Davinci Resolve, and Capcut, to name a few. Regarding your pivot to finance videos... that's great! You really need a passion for whatever niche you dive into as there's so much energy involved in delivering on UA-cam, as you know. And let's not forget about the patience required to get results on UA-cam, especially after a hiatus. More than anything I hope you have fun with your ongoing UA-cam journey!
Thank you so much, Gord. You’re right: it’s time for me to start my UA-cam channel even at 67. Let’s do it together and serve + inspire people to make their dreams come true!
Feeling a little attacked here Gord!! Lol... Pretty much covered my current situation and what I have been dealing with over the past decade or so. Have wanted to start a channel just for my own purposes and just haven't moved on it. Same in my home based business. Fighting a lot including my current set of circumstances (forced change of job into a job that will be ending due to major city budget cuts so that is constant at the moment which lead to financial difficulties and is really beating me down this past year into the new year...) Definitely need to reflect on this..
Thank you so much for sharing this-it sounds like you’re going through a really tough time, and I want you to know that your feelings and challenges are valid. First off, let me say, you're not alone in this. Many of us, myself included, have faced those moments of wanting to move forward but feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life's circumstances. Starting something new, like a UA-cam channel or starting/growing your business, can feel daunting when you're already juggling so much. But here’s what I’ve learned from my own struggles: even the smallest step forward is progress. Maybe that step for you is just writing down a few ideas for your channel, or setting aside a small amount of time each week to focus on something you’re passionate about. You don’t have to have it all figured out-you just need to start. I know financial difficulties and job uncertainty can weigh heavily, but creating something-whether it’s content, a plan, or even just a small creative project-can help you take back some control and find a spark of hope. Hang in there. This season of life is tough, but it’s not forever. You’re stronger than you realize!
Great stuff Gord! Thanks for sharing this with us. -Brad
Thanks, Brad. Hoping that this time, my comeback is sustainable! I greatly appreciate your support!

We are making it happen! When is your first video planned for release?
@@GordIsman Maybe as soon as I have made 3 new videos for my new channel. I hope I can start in January.
That's great, Chris, January is not far away. I wish you good luck and find all the joy and fun on your UA-cam journey.
Hey Gord… all great tips, especially for us in the “beyond” category!! Lol 😂 Thanks for all you do to help and teach video creators. 🎉
Thanks, Sue-Ann... yes we are well into the BEYOND category... 😆
