Finally, a transparent protective coat is applied.

Is the fibre cement not needed over the tiles ?.

In this type of intervention, where the need is to have a homogenous surface without the joints, we propose our decorative microcement Decorkrete. In fact, the product guarantees high resistance while having a reduced thickness. In these cases, fibre cement is not needed.

Can I micro cement over a painted floor?

We are pleased with your interest in our decorative solution.
In order to apply our product on already painted surfaces, it is necessary to sand the paint and check its adhesion once the sanding process is finished.
Furthermore, it would be helpful to understand the composition of the paint (generally, the product data sheet is sufficient) in order to have more useful information on the possible adhesion and compatibility of our product. In such cases, we still recommend applying our WATStop product with a yield of 1 kg/m2 before applying Decorkrete.

So what happens if the tile underneath cracks?

If it cracks by deflection it wasn’t installed properly. If it cracks from an impact, it would have cracked anyway wether there was cement finish over it or not.
