People are given the status of 'celebrity' because we as a society put them there. Something I find hard to get my head around. I find nothing wrong with a person who wants to exercise their talent on the public stage. But it's wrong that we revere people because they are well known. There are so many people with talent in this world that go unnoticed. I admire Sandra Bullock for her ability to stay grounded with all the trappings of celebrity. I think that it's important that you give back when you succeed. She recognises that. Its a shame that most other celebrities are narcissistic and self involved. They couldn't possible have peace in their hearts. Motivated only by the desire to be bigger, more famous and richer. She is a shining example that no matter his much money or notoriety you have we are all human at the end of the day. She can sleep easy x
