This is a fucking jam. Really reminiscent of the 90s. Had heard a few of this band's songs before, but this one definitely makes me wanna check out the album.
Trevor Kyle Melton that's great, I can't wait. The new three days grace album was good except for a few songs. He will probably have to review that too. Either way, this band is going to blow up.
20 years ago this sound was declared dead. By 1998 every rock band had been either morphed into some lame electro pop band or nu-metal. I was quite saddened as I loved this. Only the pumpkins tried to survive and continue with that sound after the failed Adore album, alas the masses had moved on. I really dig this sound. What happened to Daylight/Suoerheaven. They were doing cool shit and then just disappeared.
Superheaven is done, but there are some new bands like these guys, blis. , i was afraid, narrow head, that are yet undiscovered and carry on these sounds
Taylor Madison and Jake Clarke, singer/guitar players of Superheaven both still do music. Taylor is doing a band called Webbed Wing and Jake does solo stuff under his name.
There are loads of bands with that sound, they're just not so easy to find. I only found Teenage Wrist last year and was delighted to do so. Feeder have regularly been doing this sort of sound since the mid-90s. A recent track of theirs: ua-cam.com/video/vGu_fbV_WvQ/v-deo.html Nothing are well worth checking out too.
lyrics: [Verse 1] Too dumb, too small To feel the fall Do you recall when she was something beautiful? I don't, not at all (Giving up for you) [Chorus] I do, I do, I do I do, I do, I do [Verse 2] Too fair inside To see the signs Do you recall the rush you once saw in his eyes? I don't, another life A trade for daydreams sold To have and never hold [Chorus & Outro] I do, I do, I do I do, I do, I do I'm giving up for you I do, I do, I do I do, ye-ah Giving up for you I do, I do, I, do Giving up for you I do, I do, I, do I'm giving up for (giving up for you) I do, I do, I do
First time I heard this song, over a local college radio station, I didn't think of lame ass Nirvana or any other songs, I just heard what I heard and accepted this band as itself. No comparisons, nothing. Grateful to that radio station for introducing me to this band and so many others I probably never would have even heard of.
My favorite radio station is playing this right now January 1, 2024. I wish they would bring back… Earth is a black hole… Mark the DJ took that out of the library to never be played again 😢
Love this song, seems to be about someone who can't move past a relationship. Even despite the fact that none of his friends can recall a time when she was ever good to him, he felt the rush of love they had. Pretty impactful.
ever since i completely bought into Hundredth's shoegaze direction last year, i've been dying to hear some more bands that sound like that. this fits exactly what i was looking for!
Those comments are probably just ignorant kids into modern "alternative" who don't have a proper background. It's a shame that most people don't recognize the influence of bands like Catherine Wheel, Swervedriver and so many others.
Hey fellas, ladies, gents, creatures of the unknown - I decided to try and cover this song I haven't seen any yet. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you guys could check it out and let me know on the video if I should do more covers of Teenage Wrist. Im a huge fan of the band, they're everything I wanted out of a movement influenced by the 90s. really good stuff.
It's funny I love this band, and this song played in a Jimmy Johns while I was on lunch break eating a sandwich, I was so happy. Love Jimmy Johns even more now for playing killer music. lol
Post Grunge? Post Emo? No....if your talking 90s? Def some Pumpkins, Catherine (Pumpkins copy), early Garbage, Posies...The new bands like Narrow Head, Gleemer, etc are bringing the sound back
Sounds like a mix between Nirvana and Three Days Grace. Nonetheless, this is the first song I've ever heard from these guys, and it did not disappoint. Great job!
+Meow Meow I'm A Cow Thanks! I'll check them out. I freaking love Epitaph. I first found out about them when I began listening to Pennywise, and they're one of my favorite punk bands ever.
This is a fucking jam. Really reminiscent of the 90s. Had heard a few of this band's songs before, but this one definitely makes me wanna check out the album.
I look forward to seeing your review
Trevor Kyle Melton same , ARTV, please review the album its really good
metal life Jon said in a tweet he plans to review it over the weekend
Trevor Kyle Melton that's great, I can't wait. The new three days grace album was good except for a few songs. He will probably have to review that too. Either way, this band is going to blow up.
it kinda reminds me to bush in a way or some grunge for that matter!

Brian Ashton I‘m sad that I never got to see Daylight/Superheaven
I bloody loved Daylight/Superheaven. But if you dig this, check out some bands like Fangclub and Dinosaur Pile-Up.

lyrics: [Verse 1]
Too dumb, too small
To feel the fall
Do you recall when she was something beautiful?
I don't, not at all
(Giving up for you)
[Chorus]
I do, I do, I do
I do, I do, I do
[Verse 2]
Too fair inside
To see the signs
Do you recall the rush you once saw in his eyes?
I don't, another life
A trade for daydreams sold
To have and never hold
[Chorus & Outro]
I do, I do, I do
I do, I do, I do
I'm giving up for you
I do, I do, I do
I do, ye-ah
Giving up for you
I do, I do, I, do
Giving up for you
I do, I do, I, do
I'm giving up for (giving up for you)
I do, I do, I do
I can't get enough of this song.
I love the guitar work
First time I heard this song, over a local college radio station, I didn't think of lame ass Nirvana or any other songs, I just heard what I heard and accepted this band as itself. No comparisons, nothing. Grateful to that radio station for introducing me to this band and so many others I probably never would have even heard of.
Good stuff... reminiscent of Swervedriver, Hum, Cheatahs, Catherine Wheel, Mystery Machine. Who else am I missing?
indiesongaday I also hear Failure in it... from their albums Magnified and Fantastic Planet.
I thought of Kent and their "Hagnesta Hill" album
@@DimitrisArabatzidis ya sounds like Revolt III
Sounds like something I would have heard while watching Daria. I miss that show, and this song is awesome!
Great signing Epitaph. Kudos
I can see this band poppin' off
Teenage wrist never disappoints
Neckslit it's sad that your life is so pathetic your trying to insult a random person on UA-cam 😂😂 get your life straight dude 😂😂🤣
Very 90s! Heard this on the radio the other day and was amazed when they said it was just released!
If you close your eyes, you can pretend that Rob Dickinson (of Catherine Wheel) is filling in vocals for Failure...in the 90s.
You are right :-). I definitely hear it.
Spot on.
My favorite radio station is playing this right now January 1, 2024. I wish they would bring back… Earth is a black hole… Mark the DJ took that out of the library to never be played again 😢
What station? If they stream I'd like to check the station out.
Love this song, seems to be about someone who can't move past a relationship. Even despite the fact that none of his friends can recall a time when she was ever good to him, he felt the rush of love they had. Pretty impactful.
THIS IS THE FIRST I HEAR OF THIS BAND BUT ITS FUCKING AMAZING AHH
can feel some shoegaze vibe here ,
ever since i completely bought into Hundredth's shoegaze direction last year, i've been dying to hear some more bands that sound like that. this fits exactly what i was looking for!
this has such a late 90s/early 2000s post-grunge, pre-emo feel. i fucking love it.
Damn!!! This song rules!!!
Ascoltata ieri sera in radio ed è stato subito amore.........very good boys!! From Italy
This has like a psychedelic grunge feel to me
Their best track, god This sounds so Sweet.
Really liking all these tunes, guys. Glad you’re making music!
Rock is back baby!
So no one in the comments has ever heard of Catherine Wheel or Swervedriver, lmao. These Three Days Grace comparisons are actually painful.
good looks on the recommendations though lol
Both bands are super good. You should check out Mezcal Head from Swervedriver and either Chrome or Ferment from Catherine Wheel
Nice Hum picture ;)
I just heard this on SomaFM's Bagel Radio, and the DJ followed it with Swervedriver's "You Find it Everywhere." Perfect match.
Those comments are probably just ignorant kids into modern "alternative" who don't have a proper background. It's a shame that most people don't recognize the influence of bands like Catherine Wheel, Swervedriver and so many others.
Never heard of this band but I really like this.
Great sound.
Can't wait to see these guys get big
Yes😢

Goddamn not again I DISCOVERED A NEW BAND
Please let this band be the new Nirvana of the future! :D

I love 3:08 guitar
Nice song! F* good!
Love these dudes x #AussieFan
It's 4 minutes but it feels like it's so short
Guitar work is hitting my childhood..
P.O.D/foo fighters sound.
If you think this sounds like Foo Fighters then you should listen to Swervedriver (Mezcal Head album) if you aren't familiar with them.
Ian I’m always up for new music, thank you!
swervediver is amazing your gonna love them if u like this bands sound
I hate reading certain comparisons people try to throw out with teenage wrist
MUITO BOA MÚSICA !

Reminds me of Hundredth's RARE album
Ugh I want this album noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Why haven I heard of this band
I can mess with this. Found these guys on instagram
Good, would like to see these guys on a different label with a more raw production.
Smacked the side of my phone but picture still all screwed up.
Sounds like a cross between HIM and smashing pumpkins
You mean HUM
Nah that’s Narrow Head to a t though lmao
Sounds like a mix between Nirvana and Three Days Grace. Nonetheless, this is the first song I've ever heard from these guys, and it did not disappoint. Great job!
