Service Light Reset - Renault Modus

In this Piggypower how to guide, I show how you reset the service light on a Renault Modus.
The same principle applies to many Renaults of the same era.

Thank you for this video, so my oil was changed on my Modus in July last year but the reset was not made. I have another 4000 km till next oil change in reality till it hits 10000. Can you advise that I leave it till 4000 km or is it recommended I do the change anyways?

Oil deterioration happens over time and mileage. So if it's due at a time but under miles...still do it.

Hi mate any suggestions, my clock and everything has gone dark the full LCD screen if you know what i mean lol will it be fuse or no coz i cant see the speed or anything its super duper dim

Check fuses. Check dimmer switch.

Bro could you tell me that Do i really need to change the oil or this message is normal? And could you tell me which oil is good for renault modus 1.2 1.6v. 2004 petrol model? This is my first car and i dont know much about that.

Yes, you need to do a service! The car is TELLING you to do one!! Go to a motorfactors and give them your registration...ask for a full service kit 👌

It's predetermined but if you were to change it only make the intetval shorter, otherwise it could damage your vehicle

Have a diagnostic done to find the fault. Repair the fault. Have the fault code removed.

@@ayres6727 if the abs system, not the engine management system, has no fault codes then the light wouldn't be on. So either you're not looking at the ABS system on diagnostics or it's not the ABS light.
