dumb part is that most people who play her support (like me) build her AP. i pick her sup because in my elo adcs are not worth the pain. please revert her back... as a support sera player im begging. i dont want any of this constant back and forth especially before mythic removal. just let her be until then so we can see how it turns out
The thing that frustrates me so much is that they told us when Seraphine originally released “no no she isn’t like Sona she is mid laner not a support totally different” but then riot is over here trying to force her to be in the support role. LET HER COOK PLEASE. 😩
I mean... that's the community... again, over 80% of her playerbase took her *support*... even when it was shit... even after Riot *specifically* made support worse and made tweaks to further incentivize mid... afterwhich, Riot did some buffs to better enable support (still her worst role of the three, and underperforming)... So, eventually, riot just acquiesced to the community and tweaked her to be better in support, with the intent of lowering her Bot power and ideally keeping mid equal... They succeeded in the mid (actually buffed it a little) and support.... failed in bot, since her winrate went up there too.
I sadly expected this changes, just shocked they didnt come sooner. Im a sera mid main, and Ill always love her. And i dont want her to be forced support but i agree they should just rework her if they are gonna force her support. I probably wont play her much anymore if she keeps getting forced support which makes me even more upset. I just hope they chill out with the changes or actually buff her mid like they said. I feel like the issue with seraphine support is her w. The cooldown is so long (rightfully so) that it doesn't allow her to make proper use of shield/heal relying support items compared to other supports. Might just be me, but personally it feels so odd trying to make seraphine a support when (in my opinion) she struggles taking advantage of a lot of the support items. I also think that her interactions with ap items are much better, like rilay, liandry and even morello provide her both utility and damage. I think the main thing I would do if I wanted to make her a support would be to lower her w's cooldown significantly but making it a single target shield. Keeping the same interaction that if there is already one shield going on, she does a smaller radius aoe heal. That makes a lot more sense to me. I mean theres gotta be a lot more balancing to be done but that is my rough idea. That way, she could make use of support items while still keeping the core seraph identity in my opinion. Otherwise as a midlaner, I would also go the same route, making her weak single target shield but maybe if you use it on yourself, you could get more stacks from your passive than you usually do. That way, her kit could also interact with her passive giving seraphine a healthy independence as a mid laner. She would still be a utility-oriented mid-laner due to her not-so-amazing damage on her other abilities abut great cc and peel, yet she would also be able to lane alone enough to at least survive laning phase to get to her power spike. I guess the overall issue with seraphine in my opinion is her lack of gameplay identity. In my mind, she's currently awkwardly standing between an echanter and a utility-mage. If she is supposed to be an enchanter, then she needs to be able to make her natural low income work with support items, on the other hand as a mid-laner (even if she is meant to be team oriented) she should be able to comfortably lane alone to some extent cause thats just what the role requires. Long time player since 2012 and I hate when riot does this. Vel Koz, zyra, karma, and even morg were all champs who were viable mid picks. After the changes and now they’re straight support. One thing to keep in mind is that the w max is good for the utility cocabob build, not full damage, because they nerfed the Q damage so much and removed the ap scaling on W . For those who still go full ap sera W max is bad because it does not scale with ap but the E now does . the build isnt good by any means but , they shouldnt max W if they aren't going enchanter hybrid sera
As a seraphine main, almost 700k, it does frustrate me a bit that they are trying hard to place her in support. Her biggest issue with that is her W being an insanely long cooldown especially compared to other supports. If they wanted to try a mini rework, i think they should lower the W cd, keep the aoe shield and movement speed but remove the heal. Instead, utilize her passive a different way. Instead of range and damage, perhaps change it so when she gets a certain amount of notes stacked, it becomes a heal for her nearest ally with lowest HP. Just a thought. Her Q, E, and R are fine.

TBH they should have just made her W have a condition instead of nerfing her mid/late game numbers. Like... her W will shield/heal for more if she casts it and it only affects her. Any ally tagged by it's initial cast reduces the effect. That way she is pushed toward solo laning instead of outright gutting her. They could also just take away the healing aspect and have the delayed heal become a shield refresh effect. There's a lot they could do but this is extremely lazy.
I don't know how you keep it cool with that Lillia, those kind of comments always make me feel very insecure when I play - but you did it so great despite their attitude! On Seraphine's changes... these weeks has been a rollecoaster of emotions :') they changed her, the community found new ways to keep playing her carry and then Riot changes her AGAIN. I'm really sad they are making her so dirty, specially in her third anniversary ;_; either way, it was a great excuse to see you play her again! ♥
I try her with ROA. It's better than I thought. I think that riot nerf her max health and AP scaling, then buff her armor and base number of every normal abilty because they may want us to play her in another way with Item that increase both AP and health like ROA, Demonic Embrace, Rylai or Archangel Staff.
Next patch looks they're just trying to nerf her botlane, casue she got too strong there. It's cool that after the changes she got more popular on mid and bot (35% of Seraphines go there), so maybe she will still be supported there, and not completely gutted and changed for her support role to be good.

she used to be the most brainless elo-inflated LP machine in bot lane masters+, she didn’t have any bad matchups, as long as you survived laning phase she was a monster in team fights and even if got absolutely clapped in early game you’re still useful with double W unlike most ADCs. And I stupidly mained her thinking the uwu e-girls in bronze that played her in support (obviously the wrong role because her healing scaled with AP and the shield is 26seconds early game) would keep her win-rate sufficiently low and riot wouldn’t dare to touch her, if you buffed support sera, APC would be just straight up OP. (I was wrong because riot caters to players who play her in the wrong role, and punishes the 1% of her player base who are serious about climbing and optimising her right builds, and playing her rightfully as a carry) so i’m just practising karthus, ziggs, lux, taliyah etc to have a new APC main in the bot lane, especially since riot is determined to make her a support (they will fail unless they rework the champion because the kit of the champion simply does not fit into support)
They have NO idea how to design utility/control mages. Zyra and Sera are my 2 fave champs. They both suffer from the opposite issues. Sera is "support style" mid laner. Yet they can't make her work. Zyra is a "cc bot" support. Yet she started out as a mid laner and they keep shoving her into support. I am so TIRED. Let them both enjoy their time in mid thanks.
