I wish more and more people stopped treating 30 like it's a kiss of death age. I just turned 30 and I feel no different and really don't look that different than when I was 21. 30 is still pretty youthful

I'm 39 now, and it goes by at LIGHT SPEED. So everyone saying she's only 27... man it goes by really quick. You add in the 3 years we lost to the pandemic and it's just crazy.
Time defo goes by fast! She is only very young though. Its a very odd thing to say to someone in their 20s. Let them enjoy their 20s! I feel that people start saying at 25 oh you're 30s are soon. Just so strange as nobody says to 15 to 19 year olds this.

40 here. Not gonna lie it went by fast and sometimes wish could go back a little bit. But having lost a few dear ones while still in their 20s and 30s and 40s, every day I am reminded that it’s a privilege to grow old. That reminds me to enjoy it, and cherish all the amazing things that come to us only if being given a chance to grow old

i'm 28 like Zendaya is gonna be this year and i'm scared, i've been scared of turning 30 since i was 25 tbh, and people on social media acting like you are a dinosaur the second you are past 21 are not helping
It's ok. You'll still feel young next to 40yr olds 😅 but in all seriousness, there's something about every decade to look forward to and I've seen so many people in every decade up to 70s + just THRIVING and living the lives they want to live and having fun. It's a good time to age!
I was terrified at 27 of turning 30. I was like pray not to, which is crazy. And I was scared when I turned 40 but less so. Looking back i wish was 30 again, it young, or 40 again. Realize we only get older so enjoy whatever age you are. Everyone wants a long life but nobody wants to get old. Everyone wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. The problem is western countries don't value the elderly, so we are scared of the inevitable. It is disgraceful.
I'll be 43 on the 17th. Being 30 is DOPE! Straight up, all that energy that you put into other people, it slow cease, then when you get to 40, you have zero 💩 To give. Kiss the high stress 20's goodbye.
It might feel a little shocking, but you’re still young so to speak. It’s all ageism, the idea of 30 being the equivalent of being elderly, especially if you’re a woman/afab. I just turned 30 and it bothered me because of the idea of what you lose or are forced to give up, but it doesn’t really mean anything when it happens. Sure, you’re older and some things will feel different, but you shouldn’t have to give up the youthful light within you.
30s are the best! Way better than 20s :D Trust me.

I felt exactly the same at 29, like my doom was coming for me lol. But now I'm almost 32 and I feel like I've only gotten better!! Our 30's are a turning point, but I honestly think it's the best of both worlds. I think our 30s are our prime; you have the wisdom of actually knowing yourself, but also the youthfulness to still experiment and tread new ground. I must admit though, 40 does scare me 😅

Every age apart from your teens and early twenties feels like it sucks tbh. I bet when you were in your 30s you felt like being 30 sucked. The only reason you appreciate 30 is because you're in your 40's. When you turn 50, your 40s become special. My take here is enjoy every age you're in cause you can never live it twice.
All I'll say is I enjoyed how my skin and body looked in my twenties. I ate what I liked. Needed to put in just little effort for my skin to look amazing. At thirty you start to loose alot of collagen. You also can't eat however and whatever you like cause your metabolism won't be as active as in your twenties and the effort you put in to look snatched takes a toll. But it's something you get used to. I love my thirties tho... the only thing I don't love is the extra effort you need to put in to look good.( Especially body-wise)
None of this happened to me, to be honest. I look pretty much exactly the same at 41 as I did at 25. I think drinking water and using sunscreen go a long way. I really can't believe people are scared of 30 though. It was so insignificant to me besides the fact that it was a new decade, yay!

If you want to get technically the process of losing collagen starts round 25, so they say but its visible effects isn't manifest till much later.. Take an individuals at 25 or even in their early thirties-they still have a youthful appearance. There's even a an example from a doctor who conducts UA-cam videos where he showed a 3D scan of a person's face in their early thirties, he then commented that there wasn't that much loss of collagen, in fact it was with minimal loss. His recommendation? Prioritize sunscreen to preserve this youthful resilience especially when you hit thirties and if you can do it much early that will be better.

The rampant obsession with the 20s and the associated fear of saying goodbye to the decade that most consider to be 'youth's golden chapter' continues to worry so many people. It's almost as if this fear has ingrained in them the belief that life ends at 30, as if the pinnacle of our existence was defined in the short time of our 20s.
Instead of succumbing to the misguided and culturally ingrained notion that passing your twenties is a guarantee of 'decline', we should reflect happily on the blessings of the thirties, for we'll find ourselves just as vigorous as we were in our 20s, but blessed with increased wisdom, self-awareness, a deeper understanding of the world and of who we are.

She is admitting she is turning 30 and is far from eighteen yet she kinda looks like she could pass for eighteen years old or even twenty years old which is an illusion but it sure looks like she is maintaining her physical fitness.

So? I def started thinking about 30 from right around my 27th birthday. If you have certain goals you want to achieve before 30 once you hit 26, 27 you 100% start thinking about it. By 28ish I was already getting my friends prepped for my 30th birthday trip since it was big and we were going out of the country. Not to mention if multiple friends turn 30 the same year and all have big plans, coordination has to start quite early

@@ekanemumana7964 Lady I assumed common sense was common. I clearly said that I was thinking about all the goals I had set up to achieve before 30. Did not know that I had to list out every single emotion that I was feeling as time ran out for you to understand. But here it goes, while I was thinking about how my deadlines were fast approaching many emotions including intense anxiety, fear, disappointment in myself etc accompanied those thoughts. Sometimes read comments to understand and not just to respond.
