That little piece of steel is held in place by a small washer clip. You have to pry it up with some thing thin like a utility knife and long nose pliers. When you put it back just push it down with a pair of long nose pliers.
@@wittelkenneth thank you! This video was real helpful. I fixed mine . Got all that gunk out and replaced it was a small washer that fit great. Appreciate your work!
Hello, can it be fixed that when you change the size of the vinyl from 12 to 7 inches when the needle is lowered, the song is already started? In other words, the needle goes down a second later on the 7-inch record… it would be for an automatic model that is similar… the audio technica LP60
This fixed my issue with starting but now I can’t get the turntable to stop automatically after the record is done. Any ideas how I can fix it? Thank you for the video
Not sure. Maybe the washer is too thick or it’s in there too tight and not letting the part move. Maybe try some white lithium grease or remove the clip and put it back on with less pressure.
Wow! I never have any luck searching for resolutions to specific problems... This is EXACTLY what my turntable needed. Thank you, sir!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
You save my vinyl player. Thank-You so much .

Hello
How did you get the washer under there?
Can you remove those little black plastic washers?
