you motivated me to follow my dream to be a pro cyclist after more than 5 years i recoverd from an eating disorder now its time to follow my dreams and train verry hard i am verry motivated every day again thanks for your nice videos 💪🏻
I’m no pro here Lucy, but I notice that ITU pros tend to release one leg on the dismount then bring it through to the front before releasing the second foot, then hitting the ground to run into T2. Is there a reason that you drop your foot to the ground while it’s behind the foot that’s still on the pedal? I find the finer tweak points of transition really interesting. Please don’t think I’m picking faults or anything I just noticed your foot release is slightly different to other pro’s.
I'm not LCB obviously, but I see plenty of both in the pro peletons ( ITU and otherwise ) Personally I also put the released foot forward first, as it gets me into a more natural run stride, but some athletes are less comfortable sliding their leg between the bike and the other leg. This gets especially pronounced in cyclocross dismounts where we don't have the same coasting time as we do at a dismount line, and people are getting more accepting of having the unattached leg touching behind the other on a dismount. I'm not sure there is any discernable time difference, and comes down to what feels better for the athlete.
Not that I've seen it happen to anyone, but I'd worry about my pedaling foot getting just a tiny bit stuck on the shoe or the pedal so that you risk tripping over it once your other foot touches the ground in front. If that makes sense... :-)
You still have a long career as pro but when you retire I hope fashion companies hire you as model for their clothing or accessories. You have the elegance that some of us would like to have, or I better say, I like to have. Good luck Lucy in your upcoming races!!
(1) I like that you shared your transition practice. A great reminder that despite being World Champ, you put in the time and focus to learn and improve. (2) I didn't realize you rode Speedplays. All the time? I love them. (3) The Lola segments were really good on this one! How did she react when you got home from such a long trip? Beyond ecstatic? A bit confused?
Hey Holly, just some feedback on the audio. Seems like the levels are tad low making it a bit tough to hear the sound on these videos. The only way I can hear the audio is if I turn the volume up to 100%. Anyways, thanks for the great content.
Good luck in Abu Dhabi Lucy, and try if you Can to look up Transitions on UA-cam etc, one of the Best in Transitions is Sophie Coldwell 😀 by the Way Love Lola too,

Was going to say the same - why not "treading the needle"?

Yes new vid
Great 'episode' - love seeing your updates. Sexy ass watch with Breitling! Love that brand - solid choice! Making me miss London and Essex!
How about flying dismount you did in Challenge Miami? Are you going to work on that too?
I want to know what Reece's favorite Pokemon is!
Which cam do you use to film in swimming pool or under water ?
GoPro Hero 9!
@@LucyCharlesBarclay very high quality. By the way, you are such an inspiration for all of us triathlete. Keep going and enjoy your world title.
Lucy, have you got custom aero bars on this bike ?
Lola sounds alot like Reece's Lucy impression
Well done! Every aspect of the race has to be trained properly.
❤️❤️❤️

Why don’t you and Jonny B exchange top tips ?
The sound is always very low :(
Funny how you can do a side plank while playing tug-o-war with your dog….. I get licks in the face, to which I end up flat on the floor.. 😬😬😬👍
Why is Lola wearing the neck pillow?
She had a routine operation so it’s to stop her licking the stitches! She is recovering very well now 💙
@@LucyCharlesBarclay Glad to hear Lola is doing well after her operation! 🐶😊🙏
Reece needs a shirt with "TRAIN HARD GET LUCY"!!!! :-D
Daytona?!?
I'd ask a question here but there's nowhere to enter my Credit Card #.
Troll
Time for me to stop watching YT and go work on transitions.
