Please don't tell me someone tried to go after the white buffalo
They better not! Be their last move!
@ah-ha Wrong. Just came from up there. It's been tagged and vets have looked at it. It's healthy and the park is monitoring it.

I have been following this. It's been missing. I hope it's been spotted.
That's so racist!😏
That is crazy! Even at Yellowstone, a shooting! Just go enjoy the wildlife!
Bit more wildlife than usual today...
National Parks and National Forests are dangerous today as are state parks and forests
The USA is fast becoming a 3rd world country
Did that reporter actually say it happened in early morning, before sunset?......😂
lulz
you know what he meant. mr nit.
That's why they usually have two news readers . . .
So Old...like Biden.. taking up space😮
-It ain't wrong. Early morning is technically before sunset.-
Federal crime it's a national park .
the suspect probably doesnt have to worry about that considering hes dead
If he has valid concealed carry in his home state, it isn’t a federal crime. Believe it or not, Obama signed that one.
@@richardpauly1635 it's a crime to recklessly brandish a firearm anywhere, not just a national park.
It is NOT a crime to safely and responsibly carry a firearm in a national park.
I hope you don't own a firearm, as it is irresponsible to not know the laws that apply to any equipment that you may operate.
Sadly, it is far, far easier to obtain a driver's license, a piece of machinery that causes far more deaths than firearms, than it is to buy a gun.
@MrPaulwilliamkoehn you know depends on which state .
@@MrPaulwilliamkoehn From the National Parks Service: Federal law prohibits the possession of a firearm or other dangerous weapon in NPS facilities. This goes to an even more basic degree than brandishing. He couldn't have brandished it if he didn't bring it in the first place.
"it happened in the early morning hours before sunset". I blame our education system.
‘Early in the morning, before sunset.’ That’s CBS ‘news’.
Well, technically he's not wrong. But yeah, I noticed that too.
Must be the Sinclair broadcasting influence 😑🇺🇸
ok so you basically know nothing then as of right now..... thanks for that
lol
You can always tell as much from what they leave out of a story like this as you can from what they actually report.
Somebody got irate, pulled a gun, Park Rangers responded and ended it. National Parks have gates, very limited road network, and lots of Federal Agents of all kinds. Millions of tourists visit Yellowstone each year. The traffic jams are ridiculous.
what, no traffic cops ?
These days, there`s always an active threat to the public...sad.
.....and another one out of the gene pool.
Let me get this straight. So we know the shooting happened somewhere “instide” Yellowstone, it happened in “the early morning hours before sunset”, and parts of the park are opened, but some areas are closed.
So to sum up, if you want the facts, the truth, and any specific details, then completely disregard the media.
I always worry about news reports given before the full story is known.
Being first is NOT the more important than being accurate!!!
The suspect waved his hands in the air like he just didn’t care.
YEAH RIGHT, HE WAS ACTING UP, NO TELLING WHAT HE DID

man, the animals just tryna enjoy the summer but tourism really just getting wilder than the wilderness itself 😂
In the early hours of the morning before SUNSET?!
I was at yellow stone last week to much traffic and motor homes never again in the summer
I use to live in Cody, Wy. The best time to go is in October. You almost have the park to yourself.😁
@@user-pb2vo4pt3t May used to be pretty nice. Lots of water then. Has it gotten really busy now in May?
@@annewandering
I don't live there today.
May could be very wet. We've had snow in May! It's good! But October is better; the Fall colors are amazing! 😍
That's why I always recommend October.
@@user-pb2vo4pt3t Agree. October is beautiful. We always tell friends and family that early June is a good time to visit, too. Less chance of snow, tourists haven’t started coming en mass, smoke from California fires hasn’t messed up visibility and air quality yet, etc. Or you can do what we natives do and skip Yellowstone altogether and drive up the Chief Joseph Hwy to the Beartooth into Red Lodge, MT or Cooke City. Very pretty drive. Less traffic and people. P. S. I love living here.
No description……cuz it isn’t needed.
MAGA!!
Medal for the park ranger
Bless you, that's right!
What is it with the news reporters of today? Does he REALLY have to stand there and make all these goofy hand gestures to try to add to the intensity of the story? From stop to finish, hands this way, hands that way, as if it's really necessary. SMFH.

Yes he does.
TERRIBLE REPORT! Never says which area the shooting happened.

Why?? suspect dead , no continuing threat to the public. lol take a deep breath.
@lantrick because they said that part of the park was closed. That's why where mattered. I agree with your comment.
early hours of the morning… Before sunset…🫢😂😂😂😂
The suspect was heard threatening the sun who retreated to the horizon.

Man was Ridiculous police had to shut em down
People suck.
Even national parks now are not immune to gun violence.
Close The Park, Protect The Animals From The Humans!
" In the early hours of the morning before sunset". That's what this reporter stated.
With so many visitors there are bound to be a few mentally unstable and dangerous people. I am sorry that a park ranger was harmed. Our National Parks System Rangers are overall a great bunch of people. In particular the Yellowstone and Tetons Rangers are almost saintly. They have a rewarding but very difficult job. I have visited Yellowstone many times. I was just there and at the Tetons again at the beginning and middle of May. In my opinion its the best time to visit Yellowstone. Its not yet crowded.
I wish that every USA child could visit Yellowstone. Its a magical place. If you are not well accustomed with hiking in wilderness and dealing with wild animals you may wish to hire a guide for at least 1 day. Guides use their radios to inform each other of where bears and wolves are viewable at any given moment. They will also teach you a lot about safety with bears, buffalo, wolves, elk and the driving hazards in Yellowstone.
One of my earliest memories is seeing large herds of Buffalo in Yellowstone when I was three years old. I wish every USA child could have such happy memories.
When I was a kid (a very long time ago) we were allowed to roll down our car windows and feed the bears on the roads. Crazy.
"It happened in the early morning hours before sunset..." 😮 Yellowstone isn't at the North Pole, is it?
“It happened early in the morning before sunset.”
Even nature could not soothe this one. He’s at rest, don’t know his story but I’ll bet it’s a broken record. Take it from a Yeti, it’s alright to ask for help.
I knew we wouldn't get through the 4th of July without a 2nd Amendment clelebration
They keep on using that word 'reporting'. I do not think it means what they think it means.
Literally no escaping shootings nowadays. Damn
its still rare, 99% only happen in the city
@@Quantrills.Raiders Yeah, population density. Go figure.
I thought we weren't allowed to carry guns in a national park? 😜
Thanks to the Pubs years ago they passed a law that allowed people to carry a firearm in National parks but it is illegal to discharge a firearm inside a National park. A lot of people cant go to sleep at night without their little teddy under the pillow.
Open carry in national parks was signed into law back in 2010 by Obama, and you can conceal if the state the park is in allows it.
@@yossarianmnichols9641Last time I was hiking there I saw a grizzly. Glad I had both bear spray and my .44 magnum.

He was making threats. How about reporting what the threats were. It would explain a lot about his mindset and politics
But it said he was making threats. So I guess that had something to do with it.
wtf it's sort of like a plane crash, the odds of another plane crashing are high super eye just like the chances of somebody else with a gun getting shot is super high. You should feel free to go. Don't let these silly cows scare you

Crazy people are everywhere including National Parks!
Small area and his hand gesture is expanding gesture...who is this reporter???? Can't get your story straight then don't report yet.
I just worked up in Canyon last year and never thought anything like this could happen. That is scary.
Are you sure it wasn't a wolf feed up with people torturing them to death ?
You know it's bad when even our national parks are being turned into a hood.
The Rangers have a very difficult job. I'm glad they were present to contain that very challenging situation. I hope the rangers envolved will have administrative leave with pay and counseling; and, that they fully heal from this tragedy. That encludes the family of the gun man, too.
early hour's of the mourning before sunset???????????????
