Phase 90 have more chewwy and bit mid boost but not oversaturated, behringer give more depth and bass boost..if u lookin for powerfull modulation to use with reverb and delay pick the behringer, and if u lookin for classic rock phaser to place it before drive pedal take the mxr
it does actually, most phasers are infamous for volume lost, so the phase 90 fixes this by boosting your volume. whether or not this boosted volume is unity gain or not is up to the individual, but that’s what i’ve noticed with my phase 90
@@musik4life24 well i’m not particularly sure, i think behringers phaser is unity volume. phasers are only terrible when the volume difference (low in volume or high in volume) is drastic. if it’s like a HAIR off i don’t usually mind as much
Yes, it drops it noticeably. I fixed the issue by attaching a mini clean booster right next to the circuit (there is enough space in the pedal for the booster). The footswitch also is terrible, it needs to be relased after you push it to disengage the pedal. It needs to be replaced with a proper momentary 2P2T footswitch. Except from these two issues, it is a EHX Small Stone clone and sounds exactly the same.
@@nikolaosbasileiou989 Wow thx!! Exactly the answer i needed. Im gonna build my first pedal from Musikding de “1985“ ,Cheers Homie and thx for the answer helped much!!!!
I believe that the Behringer is a Electro Harmonix Small Stone's clone, not a Phase 90's one. I have a Vintage Phaser and i love it.
I just got the VP1 as a Christmas gift (from my amazing wife)! I love it :)

Someone one Reddit mentioned you can set the Tone knob in the middle for a secret third setting!
Damn, your dry tone is excellent.
My favorite thing about the Behringer is the slight volume drop.
but... why?
I appreciate the volume drop as well. It creates a smoother transition instead of sounding like a pedal was just engaged.
Behringer is good enough and for £25 it's a steal!
Mooer Ninety Orange is $40 and smaller than both.
I prefer the Behringer VP1
what is the name of the song?
This is fade to green by metallica
Hi what pedal is better to use with distortion the Vintage Phaser or the Phase 90 ? Thanks.
phase 90 or univibe
Vintage phaser
hands down the VP1!
Does the MXR boost the volume?

Yes the MXR boosts the volume. Unfortunately

Every time I see a video with the Phase 90 in it I get pissed off because I had mine ripped off in NY.
I prefer the Behringer.
Hands down
