  • Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, It's a little late I know but here is a gift I made my niece before Christmas and didn't want to spoil the surprise before the big day.
So I started with the Plywood, I selected it for the patination on it as it makes a change for Ply to be anything but "BORING", then I had this pattern on my phone and I have had it for atleast 2 phones, so I have absolutely no idea where I got it from unfortunately. Anyway I wanted to make my niece something nice as we had got her a couple of bits for Xmas and I always try to make the people that are close to us something handmade, if not me then it's Mrs Shedshop that makes the gift.
It's a plain and simple project but I think it is quite impactful and can be quite beautiful, especially depending on the finish that is added to it. Now I was going to paint it in the original black shadow effect but really liked the grain pattern in the wood and thought that it might look good being burnt, but after looking at it I realised it really just needed a good amount of lacquer on it, which is exactly what I did, I depleted my can of lacquer and it ended up with a very glassy effect, unfortunately I did forget to take any photos of it after it was done but trust me when I say it looked beautiful. Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I'm glad you like the video, I really enjoy the magnifying glass with the videoing through it, I think it adds a nice clean and clear effect. I must make sure I actually have it in the correct position next time as I was a bit too above this time. Keep watching tho as I am still learning at the mo.

    Nice one Adi 👍,
You actually have many many options with that design 🤔, yes could draw around it many times and have multiple patterns ,you could spin it over and have them facing each other as a duo 🤔 and as you said, paint 🎨 mount angel 😇 proud for 3 D effect 😉 many options indeed.
As for the cold 🥶 workshop, your assistant will have to pedal much faster to keep the belt driven generator pushing 🫸 out more power 🔋.
    Cheers 🍻 Dad 👨 👍

Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I am really thinking about using the inner piece in some other way as it's a shame to just discard a piece that is "waste", that came out really well for a change. I'm not too sure Mrs Shedshop would be too happy though with more pedalling, 😉 she certainly does have a lot of pedalling to do with the amount of power some of the tools use😁 and I am out there for a while. Maybe I'll have to get some treadle power machines 😉

Yes, it's an absolute shame to have to throw bits like this into the scrap box 📦.
It would make a great template for many other things in the weeks and months to come.
As you said the piece you cut out if some what larger would be good shelf brackets, mount on blocks for book ends, bow sprit on a tall ship 🚢.
Even the main part could i guess be used for many different options 🤔.
Hope the sticky back patterns are not to expensive ?? Shame you have to throw that away as well, heart breaking.
    Cheers mate Les.

Thankyou Les, yeah I really enjoyed making it and I do think I will make one and have it standing proud, it feels right, as far as the patterns go not that much it's mostly plain paper and printing, but we got given a huge A3 printer so it meant i could make bigger patterns easier. Definitely looking forward to making more bigger things.

A3 🖨 printer gifted 👌 lovely job, opens up whole lot of avenues to explore.
    Maybe a note to self 🤔 ?
Remove waste before getting chocked at back of throat on saw table 😅😊

Yeah couldn't believe our luck with the printer and you wouldn't believe how stupid I felt with the waste on it, did make me laugh for a while tho especially when I was editing the video.
