awesome video, it is any way I can switch between modes like Snapshot and Stomp only, just using the 4/5 external switch without scrolling all the mods?
Yeah I actually have a video coming out tomorrow that explains that exactly haha. But until then, this one should be able to help you out: ua-cam.com/video/VCbSwpTF5ok/v-deo.html
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks, I am still wondering if I can just press once to go Snap and press again to go back to stomp mode using 4 or 5 external switch button, I can do that using a midi controller but it needs a separate power supply so I want to get rid of it, using one external switch 4/5 to do the same thing
Thanks! And yeah I have my eye on the quad cortex too. I really do love my HX stomp though. I’m debating getting the XL when that comes out, but I’m not sure yet.
Hi Scott - I'm hoping you might be able to help out with some advice on midi. I'm looking to use a Voodoo Lab ground control pro for my hx stomp. I want to be able to assign the 8 instant switches on the GCP to turn on/off each block. Although there's only FS1-6 with non-midi controls, is there any limitation on doing this with midi?
The versatility of these Modelers is awesome. How many ways can the Tuner, and Tap Tempo be accessed? I took mine off of Stomp button 3, and I have FS4 and FS5 used for other things. I currently access the Tuner by pressing the Action and right Page buttons simultaneously. But, I can't figure out how to access the Tap Tuner now. Thanks for all the great tips.
You set the tap tuner in the global settings... but if you’ve already used all 5 of your foot switches, you might be out of luck. Stomp is marketed to a more compact package. If you need more buttons you’ll need the Stomp XL or Helix LT or Helix. Tap temp will have to be assigned to one of the 5 buttons
@@ScottUhlMusic Ok, maybe I'll just stick with my current solution. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something in the vast array of possible settings and options. I appreciated your expertise.
@@ScottUhlMusic I'm relatively new to the Stomp, and am still working my way through all the features. MIDI is next on my list, so the additional info you provided is very helpful. Thanks 👍
The in ear system? Our behringer mixer we used it with has just mono sends if you just plug in to one of the aux sends. To get stereo you need a breakout cable. So my mixer sent mono and my ears got mono 👍
Hey man, i just cant use the touch button to assign the effects to use in the preset. i cant see anything in the command centre... please help. i must have changed something!
If I use Midi to Bypass Assign something and I change to a new present (and go back to it) the midi assignments go away and I have to assign everything again. Any ideas so It keep and remembers it?
@@ScottUhlMusic Morningstar mc6 if change from that preset and go back the midi controls don’t save. I thought maybe it was and issue with the OS but I have two stops and it is the same for both.
@@tcvlogs9709 That's interesting...... I'm honestly not sure. It shouldn't be doing that. But I've never used the MC6, so I honestly do not know. If you figure it out, definitely let me know. I'm curious!
I cannot move the split point. It just goes from block to block. Ahhh, you need to select the point by pushing the knob, THEN press action. Then turn to move. DOH!
Cool but still no way to get LFOs make random changes to let's say your Delay Feedback or whatever other FX parameters on the fly without having to use any external midi controllers or expression pedal .....very boring IMHO coz no way to spice up sonic texture !!!! i can do this with my old Zoom G9 N my GT100 im actually so surprised that the great Helix itself doesn't have such an antique feature o_O
Scott, you have a natural gift as a teacher.
Thank you 😊
3:27 I was holding the footswitch down trying to assign a block to it like it said manual but not just tapping it like you showed. Thank you!
Check your global settings to make sure it’s enabled. You also do not “hold” down the button but place your finger on it without pressing down
I learnt exactly what I was looking for … a method to bring down the amp vol when the drive was used…thank you so much for this video!
Sweet, thanks for the comment and glad to help 🤘
thank you for your excellent teaching, much appreciated Scott
Thank you!
loving your HX stomp videos. thanks so much dude!
Thanks for watching!
Thanx for tips bro!! Appreciate!!
Thank you 🤘
Thank you, you are so helpful
Thanks 🙏
Live this guy!!!

So helpful!!!! Thank you!!!1
You're welcome! 🤘
Great video @scottuhl. This makes sense. I use snapshots too! I want to try midi. I'm going to have to get the midi deal. :)
Thanks! And yeah midi is a great way to expand the use of the HX stomp for sure

By pressing only once and not scrolling through the modes, yeah you will need a midi controller 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for your fast reply! Cheers
cool vid. sorted my HX
Thanks! Glad you found the video helpful :)
Great video! What is that compact power supply you are using?

Thanks for the video! What expression pedal over there? I loking for a small on/off expression pedal, for bypassing blocks….
The TT2 or I also reviewed this one: ua-cam.com/video/B2mSNYFPFiI/v-deo.html
this is rad yes!
Glad to help 🤘
Great video, but man oh man this makes me excited for the Quad Cortex.... just the touchscreen alone sounds like it’ll make life a lot simpler
Thanks! And yeah I have my eye on the quad cortex too. I really do love my HX stomp though. I’m debating getting the XL when that comes out, but I’m not sure yet.
So you have to hit a different button for the previous preset to turn off? You can’t hit the same button?
I’m not sure I understand what you are asking

I looked into it more and CC 64 is for the tap tuner. So if you had a midi pedal you could program it that way too. Cheers!

Hey Scott i bought the nux 5.8 ghz but i can seem to find a way to make it mono. You said you used it live. Was there any trouble for you with that?

Does this also apply to Boss FS 7?
I believe so, yes. But I haven’t tried it
