My tips buy some white t-shirts and a tie dye kit or some coloured tops and throw bleach over them. Both give a tie dye look. Another tip is buy any colour t-shirt or a plain skirt or jeans and add fabric patches to them in various fabrics. Patchwork is really hippie.
