      Vote for the most authoritarian, censorious and anti-scientific political parties in Australia, who went so far with their police brutality and restrictions of freedoms and rights under Covid that they made headlines around the globe, with one of their representatives STILL having half the country under lock-down, mask mandates and government segregation programs? And please do tell me which Australian state under Labor saw any reduction in that gap between the rich and working class under Liberal federal rule? NONE. In-fact, their authoritarian Covid policies and subsequent small/medium business shutdowns saw the biggest transfer of wealth from poor to rich in modern history. Now I'm not happy with the Liberal party either, but why don't you people at least INFORM yourselves of your own hypocrisy before you vote.

      @@ytlurker220 Labor have run Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia for the past 4 - 8 years, have you noticed a reduction in the gap between rich and poor as of late? No, we've the exact opposite: the biggest transfer of wealth from poor to rich in modern western history, mostly thanks to their authoritarian covid policies and shutdown of small/medium businesses, amd outright refusal to manage the housing market and its insane pricing inflation, because they too are major real estate investors. At least TRY to do your own research before you vote for a party doing the same as the Liberals on grounds that you dont know any better. The Left/Labor parties of the west stopped representing the working class a long time ago.

    • @ytlurker220
      @ytlurker220 2 роки тому

      @@tovsteh you're wrong because Federal government controls industrial policy and the vast majority of levers over working conditions (economy-wide mechanisms). You can thank the LNP for that wealth transfer since 2013. State governments largely control their own infrastructure and public sector wages ONLY. The ALP is far better for the working class. But thanks for the wildly misleading, uninformed speel I guess? There are many explainers online how the Liberals have quietly eroded workers rights and will turbocharge that by scrapping the BOOT.

    • @tovsteh
      @tovsteh 2 роки тому

      @@ytlurker220 It doesnt seem like you understand what you are talking about. Federal government does not control state trade, the oversee trade *between* the states and with other countries. The *State* oversees state trade and state industrial policy AND how the government mandate Covid restrictions, and said restrictions have seen the largest transfer of wealth *in modern history,* and the more authoritarian they went, the worse that got, and its not secret that VIC and WA went full dimwit because they made news headlines doing so around the globe, with the premier of QLD even offering peoples rights and freedoms back as "a reward" for government compliance. And tell me what the Labor government has done for affordable housing? NOTHING, because they themselves are real estate investors. And ALP just presented a scheme where they would assist 10000 aussies a year to buy into housing providing 30-40% equity with record low deposits, when fact is that such government house-purchasing programs only makes the housing market push prices higher (because it pushes even more people onto the market) and prices get artificially inflated because government subsidiaries are involved. Man I am so sick and tired of dimwit Leftwing voters voting for the same people that are responsible for the very problems they want to resolve. Is there a country in the west you people havent managed to screw up yet given you seem to vote with your feelings? The Left-wing labor parties abandoned the working class a long time ago, and now just call them Nazis, anti-vaxxers and bigots.

      Yeah, because Left leaning media outlets, their platforms and their users have such an excellent track-record of free speech across the globe...lol. ABC is quite left leaning, and even *tax payer funded,* and they won't even allow Australia tax payers to comment on their UA-cam videos, or even DEBATE in Q&A if your opinion is different (see Stan Grant / Ukraine debate where he asked a person to leave)... But fact is its not about which side owns them, its that they ALL want to control the narrative and be "the fact checkers". Did you learn nothing from Covid and how the Labor run states went so hardcore authoritarian they made news around the world, with the media constantly spouting the governments propaganda? Didnt they go full censorship and abused police powers to silence dissidence, lock people up, shut down people's businesses and completely ignored people's freedom of choice? One certain Labor representative STILL has half the country in full lock-down and mask mandates... I'm no fan of the Liberals, but at least TRY to open your eyes to your own hypocrisy.

      CCP needs Albo more. Xi said vote Labor. Anthony Albanese urges closer ties with China in unearthed 2018 video
      A video has emerged of Anthony Albanese speaking Mandarin and urging closer ties between Australia and China, just 24 hours after a brutal sledge from the PM. Labor leader Anthony Albanese was the guest speaker at a function for a Chinese trade association linked with the Chinese Communist Party three years ago where he spoke in Mandarin urging closer ties between Australia and China.
      Video of the event has emerged just 24 hours after the Prime Minister accused the Labor leader of being too close to China and soft on national security and a “Manchurian candidate” - a slur he was forced to withdraw as it was unparliamentary.
      A Manchurian candidate is a person, especially a politician, being used as a puppet by an enemy power. The term is commonly used to indicate disloyalty or corruption, whether intentional or unintentional."

    Very pleased to hear that Labor has paid attention to the needs of older Australians and their need for the services of interpreters if they lose their memory and can't speak or understand English any more.
    Also very pleased to see that Anthony Albanese has voted to financially assist farmers affected by drought, flood and clawbacks, where multiple LNP members have voted against it time and time again. Also good to see some policies of substance around sustainable agricultural practises including training and research.
    I have seen the Victorian Labor Party not only promise to implement all 227 recommendations put forward by the Royal Commission into Family Violence, but also put those promises into life saving action, with better informed police officers and decent communication between support services and law enforcement. I have also seen very well thought out security measures in court waiting areas which will prevent stalking and violence every day.

The public is supposed to consider Albanese a good bloke, and certainly from north of the Murray and so not as innately suspect as Shorten among the northern tradie demographic. Strategically, that's rosy. Here, however, he comes across as sounding more nerdy than Rudd, with all of the lack of judgment and less of the underlying intelligence and scope. Hope Albanese can win this, but the Australian public is more than capable of rejecting him for this squinting autocue disaster.

Please people, it's all well and good to promise cheaper child care, but note that during the Rudd govt., they raised tax obligations - I guess this will be the catch for cheaper child care. We lose our freedoms with main parties. Minor parties are the way to go. The main parties ruined this country. About 50% of all money goes to the government in Australia, we have lots of hidden taxes, which are taxes on top of taxes. Fuel, alcohol and cigarette excise, GST, property stamp duty and tax, car rego, tax on Superannuation, capital gains tax when you sell stocks or your home and payroll tax for businesses On top of that they have inflated the property market with their schemes to create FOMO everytime they see the property market drop. At this rate our kids won't be able to buy homes when they grow up. I do not use 50% of my income's worth on government programs. If other countries can do much cheaper then Australia can too.
    People really need to wake up and dump the main parties if you care about the future of this country

      The only industry to see any sort of growth was mining, which has sharply declined in the last 5 years.
      Business loan commitments are some of the highest in history, while business investment is the lowest in history.
      So, what do you see the LNP doing for business, as their last 9 years has destroyed industry, small & medium business, while only benefiting large multinational corporations, who pay no tax, or royalties. Only dirty money into the LNP’s back pockets.

      Well giving low income earners massive mortgages with low deposits for overpriced housing, like America did just prior to them setting off the 2008 GFC, which will just increase house prices which will be in the interest of property developers (who manage to sell before the collapse, or buy just after) while we as a nation are heading towards 40k per citizen (every single one) in national debt, inflation is on it's way out of control (as happened in the banana republic Keating era). All political parties have great, average, and terrible leaders and members. If you treat a party like a sports team and without question follow them, then you're doing yourself an injustice, and participating in holding Australia back
