I understand. Grew up here, generations of roots here. At 18 i couldn't wait to leave to explore far and wide. I saw, learned, and experienced many wonderful things. But then i was to have a son. Something drew me to come home so i could raise him here. Before making my move back, i listened to this song many times and it made me cry too. Not out of sadness, but from how much Hawaii means to me, how much i appreciate Hawaii, and how much it could mean and has meant to my son ♥️🤝.
I graduated in 2007 and man this brought a tear to my eyes. Now I’m 32, life is different, my mother passed away last year to cancer. How I’d love to go back in time even for a moment.
