Enjoyed your video, I am getting back into Bonsai after 10 years, I recently dug out a Crepe Myrtle in my yard that was about 7 years old, did some drastic root pruning and removed some big branches. It is coming along well, I got some good information from your video with regards to time frames and further development. Thank you again.

Great video, thank you for sharing. I've become a crepe myrtle enthusiast, even digging up unwanted shrubs of it from my yard to make into bonsai. I live in Florida, so these plants grow fearsome in are really hot and wet summers. But I don't see a lot of people turning them into bonsai, so I'm grateful for your video, it's encouraging to see. Cheers.

Awesome deal! I’ve been waiting for someone to bonsai a crape mrytle, I found a dwarf crape mrytle 5 years ago and it is a great little bonsai

Love your videos Jason! Recently discovered bonsai and am learning so much. Would love to see you do videos on working with some of the starter bonsai that you sell, like the Hinoki cypress, the Hemlock, or the Alberta Spruce.

Another great video thanks Jason. Is it because of dieback that you left that large anterior stump on the ‘first’ branch? I gather the next stump up will eventually be trimmed to taper into the branch you wired off to the right?

It's just a term I like to use when I remove all the branches from a tree and start from scratch with a nice trunk. I do it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/qsRDlvF91BA/v-deo.html.
