Your right, Trogly buys guitars then really talks them up, plays down the dings and scratches "but that's ok". Then says these are really underpriced, should be selling for alot more. And low and behold it's on Reverb at a ridiculous price. Dane won't treat you like that. He has low prices on nice gear from a couple hundred $ up to Gibsons, Music Mans, PRS, you name it. He's always willing to make a deal, and loves trade-ins, pedals, amps, guitars, basses, and accessories. Bring in 3 or 4 to upgrade to something better. I've seen 7 or 8 guitars come in to upgrade to a top grade axe in the store. Alot of pros hangout here, never know what you'll find, make a deal.

I'm glad you mentioned Trogly. I've pretty much stopped watching his videos. The guy has just become too full of himself and in the 5 or so years I've been watching him I can't recall him ever doing some kind of giveaway. Now I'm not just looking to get something for nothing but I have seen many other channels even much smaller channels give a nice guitar to one of their viewers. And he is always referring to less expensive gear as "garbage".

So I'm confused now. Did Chapman abandon the truss rod that uses the wheel at the body end of the neck like Ernie Ball Music Man guitars use? (not sure if they still do and/or if they use it on all of their guitars, but I believe every one of the EBMM guitars I've held in my hands has had this style of truss rod, which is my favorite because it makes adjustments a breeze and doesn't require a specialized tool) I have an older ML3 Pro Traditional that I picked up at GC a year or two ago, which I believe is a 2016 model and it has the wheel at the base of the neck and the 3 saddle bridge. I thought maybe this was an older model at first when I saw the truss rod adjust at the headstock, but since it's got the 6 saddle bridge it must be newer than mine. Now I'll have to go looking for what kind of spin they put on going to the more common truss rod that adjusts at the headstock since I just watched an old video where "The Captain" praised the virtues of the unencumbered wheel at the base of the neck truss rod adjustment of the ML3 traditional and modern at the time. Makes me wonder if they might have moved production to a factory that couldn't or didn't want to do the "better" truss rod. I'm glad the one I bought has it and I think everybody should switch to that design. I've thought it was the way to go ever since picking up my EBMMSMSM (Steve Morse Signature Model) back in the early naughties.
Edit: Dude! That's one smokin' deal you scored on this ML3! Congrats on that. Hopefully you won't find some major problem with it that made the previous owner list it for so little. Shouldn't be an expertly repaired headstock break since it's not a Gibson at least. ;) And what's up with a guitar reseller telling you what they paid for a guitar? You planning to keep this one for yourself or are you one of those unicorn "honest guitar dealer" I've only heard spoken of in hushed tones? If so I am officially jealous of people who live near enough to your store to shop there.
