As a 20-year old born LDS with faith crisis, I knealed down on a beautiful mountin’ near my home and asked God if the church was true. And after sitting for about an hour (on my knees!) without any answers from God, that’s when I realised: I already know the answer! The church is true and that’s why I didn’t get an answer. There’s no more powerful answer like silence! Still to this day that logic never ceases to amaze me.
I am not a Mormon, but brother your testimony has provided me with the certified flight from reality and mind numbing adherence to irrational dogmas that my feckless intellect has been craving. See you in church brother ☺️
I joined the LDS church last October and was baptized and I recently received my patriarchal blessing. The church is insanely welcoming, but I feel alienated among younger members. I noticed that I'm the odd one sticking out. No seriously, I'm the only one with blue hair. I dress differently, I don't sound like everyone else. Heck, I even see people's aura colors which some might think strangely.
Blue hair would be considered an “extreme” hairstyle in Mormonism and is therefore frowned upon 🙈 Very silly! Sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling alienated. 💜
@@ZelphOntheShelf I was never told that it was frowned upon to have unnaturally colored hair. I thought it was okay seeming that I would get compliments.
It is not considered extreme. You can attend the temple with any color hair! I have facial piercings and attend the temple regularly. God accepts us as we are and I am sure plenty of members would love to get to know you. Best of luck! I think your story is inspiring
@@lynziebryant9474 this is quoted directly from the church website: “If you’ve gone out of your way to give yourself unusual hair color(s), length(s), and styling solely for the purpose of “making a statement” or getting attention, then you may have gone to the “extreme” referred to in For the Strength of Youth.”
This video makes me really sad. Everyone can do and say as they please, but when it’s no where near uplifting, encouraging, constructive, or simply kind, it’s best to have it left unsaid online. Mocking believers (of any kind) is disrespectful. Sending love from a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
did i say anything that was untrue? or did it hurt your feelings because it accurately portrayed something you haven’t fully dealt with? beliefs, especially unfounded and mean spirited ones don’t automatically deserve respect. mocking is much less evil than, say, fighting to take away people’s legal rights like the church has been doing against the gay community for some time.
The church has harmed countless people and continues to do so based on the lies of a sex predator in order to get more money to invest for profit. It deserves to be mocked.
Maybe it's different for everyone, I wasn't lds but officially removing myself from the church felt really satisfying. Although it was really simple too, took like 2 minutes
@@vohol6158 the mormon church is very different. I had to get a lawyer and paperwork notarized and waited for MONTHS to have my records removed. Even still the mormon church still keeps a record of you just in case you want to rejoin unless you're from Europe where they have the right to be forgotten.

"God Speaks"
"I don't hear anything"
"God speaks in silence"
the most powerful god is always indistinguishable from no god. it’s how he tests our faith
I confirm my beliefs by repeating them over and over among other people with the same beliefs. Pure gold.
I promised myself I wasn’t gonna cry 😭
ugh i always do this 😭
That was so classic...
The tearing up sounds exactly like church it’s spot on

This is a reference to something right? Did a church leader say this?
Probably you feel the evil spirit😅 because LDS is an a cult! A church that build on adulterous act and other stuff..
@@BestThings07 Haha yeah it’s definetely a cult!!
Thank you for your testimony Brother Tanner
🙏⛪🙏
of course. shall we not go on in so great a cause?
I felt the spirit as you shared your wonderful testimony Brother Tanner
Elder Gilliland, thank you so much for reviving my spiritual soul. I am alive in Christ! Please make more of these!
OMG, Dude. "I swear I was not going to cry." You made me spit out my beer!
Good! That's your first step back onto the straight and narrow path 🤣
The caffeinated drinks line!
by their caffeine temperature ye shall know them
This isn't even exaggerated from what actual members say. 😂 They make it way too easy to make fun of them!

This is wonderful. Sounds just like fast and testimony meeting again
It was already going great and then the crying part just killed me on the spot
Evidence? I don’t need no evidence!
faith > facts
🤣😂🤣
The part where you interpreted feeling nothing as a sign that you already knew it was true was perfect. 😂
I needed a cappuccino and a box of tissues to get over that beautiful testimony..☕
so true! brought me to tears 😢🙏
glad you opened your heart to truth 🙏❤️😇
Me too. I cried laughing the entire way through 😭
I love that you're wearing a tux, tie, and slicked your hair, but kept the nose ring 😄
too much hassle 😂
