it’s probably stress, worry, anxiety, too much on your plate, super busy with your business, etc causing your insomnia, but get it checked out just in case, you never know if it’s an underlying health problem ! much love to you yuyan ♥️
@@ItsYuyanit could also be low iron levels. Get blood work done. I was having trouble sleeping and would wake up after 3-4-5hrs and my body refused to go back to sleep. Turns out it was my body waking me up due to my brain not getting enough oxygen while sleeping. Low iron causes low red blood cells which move oxygen to ur organs. Your heart rate slows down in ur sleep so My body was waking me up so my heart would beat faster therefore carry more oxygen to my brain. Its a scary thing if not treated. Please get yourself checked. It could also be a hormone change or deficiency.
I've definitely had periods of stress-related insomnia in my life before -here are some tips that worked for me: - minimal screen usage an hour before bed - reading (from a physical book, not a kindle) for 15-30 mins in bed - but nothing too exciting! - journaling before bed - ashwaganda gummies a few hours before bedtime (but only if I am super stressed/anxious)
I was waking up at 4am too. I started documenting what days I slept well and what I did that day (food, exercise, what I did right before bed). What really helped was no screen time before bed, eating dinner earlier, and high intensity exercise.
Writing down your thoughts when you wake up in the middle of the night, playing a show you’ve seen a thousand times as background noise or using white noise, and waking up at a set time no matter how much I sleep and getting sun early in the morning are all things that have helped me! but please consult a physician and the most important thing is generally exercising and keeping a regular schedule and avoiding blue light right before bed
When you wake up and cannot go back to sleep, you can get up and do some activity that will tire you out eg folding laundry, reading, etc (preferably no screen). You can also search for sleep self help guides, there are a lot of things that you can change in your sleep routine that might help
Stop all caffeine intakes! Same thing happened to me and I cold turkey stopped drinking coffee (sad but I was severely sleep deprived and constantly irritated). I now sleep 7.5 hrs of high quality sleep every night!
If you’re having the sleepy mocktail make sure it is the right kind of magnesium and the right dose (magnesium glycinate is best for sleep). Some people also find splitting up the dose throughout the day is more effective! Cut out all caffeine for a while to see if it helps and no blue light before bed! I have also found that meditating/reading before bed helps a lot. You could also try and see if the bedroom can be optimised more for sleep e.g. is it dark enough or too dark? Do you have breathable sheets? Is your phone nearby where it could distract you? Is the bed in a good position that makes you feel safe? Do you need white noise or something to relax you? If it continues to be the stress that keeps you up, then sometimes it’s time to work through it with a therapist! Good luck yuyan! it’s never nice not being able to sleep🥹 ❤❤
i lived in Nice very recently for my studies (now i live in marseille), but i've always lived in the south of France, so it makes me happy to see that one of my favorite youtubers is going to visit these beautiful places 🥹💓
quit caffeine for a while. my partner was having multiple coffees a day and was having trouble staying asleep. he stopped for a good month and his sleeping got heaps better. would definately recommend going through phases of stopping caffeine intake since you can build your tolerance over time as well.
Black out curtains. It's probably lighter outside the last few months that you've noticed it and your body adjusts to the light, so any early morning light getting though will be waking you up. Try different curtains. May make a huge difference.
Greetings from the UK As always a lovely, relaxed, chilled vlog…..what more can I say apart from Thank you for sharing your life and special memories. Looking forward to watching your wedding plans. Take care both
The doctor told me that even after a stressful event, it takes time for your body to unwind from the stress. Even after the event has passed. So just something to think about
I have never experienced severe insomnia, but I heard that what could help is writing your thoughts before bed or during the insomnia to clear your mind!
Sorry to hear your dealing with insomnia. Appreciate you taking the time to share your life and upload well crafted videos. Your hard work and efforts do not go unnoticed. Things will get better🤍
My therapist says I need to focus one 1 thing before going to bed like reading a book or focusing on a walk! It helps the constant thinking of multiple things 😊
Yayyyyyy!! Finally Finally After a Long Long time Yuyan is back with a another new vlog and I really really missed your vlogs a lot and I wish you have a beautiful week ahead🥹😭💗💫
I struggled with severe anxiety all my life and always had issues with waking up in the middle of night. A simple but effective method that helped me was sleeping with a weighted blanket. The weighted blanket helped calm my body and I was able to remain asleep throughout the entire night.
Try magnesium capsules. I had the same problem you described, and read that sometimes women will get low levels of magnesium for whatever reason. Apparently it's super hard to sleep well without sufficient levels. So I began taking some each evening and after a couple of days, I began sleeping like a baby again. It's quite a shocking difference. I had no idea. In my case it's probably aging, but you can be magnesium deficient for a number of different reasons.
Magnesium glycinate (I use the Solaray brand) has really helped me fall asleep and stay asleep!! I also struggle with falling asleep and have a snoring hubs 😅 I try to take it an hour before bedtime and knock out pretty quick! It helps my mind/body just relax and drift off
Hi Yuyan im sure youve practiced meditation but I struggle with insomnia, anxiety, stress, etc. I find that having a relaxing night routine helps me look forward to sleeping. Hot tea, warm relaxing shower, no social media before sleep, 15 minute mindfulness meditation, and if you can I recommend listening to rain sound subliminals. omg the subliminals have been a game changer for my sleep! I sleep peacefully and I always wake up feeling positive and charged!! Hope I could help in some way! 😊✨
it's caused probably by stress and it somehow need's to get out of your body, currently it's accumulated and it affects your sleeping - I really recommend you running or any other dynamic sport for stres relief, I always sleep very well after session of running :) greetings from Poland - love you channel
I know meditation can be hard, but if you keep being consistent, meditation can help clear your mind and feel more at peace. I recommend meditating for about 10 minutes every morning and before you go to bed if you can! Maybe start doing it a couple times a week before you can make it into a routine :)
Try magnesium. I would assume it's better than Melatonin. I've been using it for the nights that I feel like I'm more worried/anxious, it will calm you down and help you sleep deeper. I hope that helps!
For the insomnia try somatic release exercises (calms the nervous system and helps you release stress, tension and old stored traumas) , breath work and meditation Best of luck - Namaste 🙏🏾
lack of vitamin B1 can cause a racing mind at night preventing sleep I suggest nutritional yeast as a good source and it tastes great on salad sprinkled
journaling, cbd (has to be cbd without thc tho which is slightly more $ but sooo effective), and avoiding screen time help me sleep :) im sorry you've been stressed though! one thing i like to remember is that mental stress is most effectively relieved through physical exercise, and the reason is like biological/evolutionary. like when early humans experienced stress, that would be accompanied by a lot of physical activity because they were running away from lions or something. so our bodies aren't used to being sooo mentally overwhelmed/overstimulated while laying still you know? i hope it gets better :):)
they way i have had this insomnia thing since i was 13. getting 2-3 hours sleep in a row max and taking 3-4 hours to fall asleep in the first place. I had gotten so used to functioning at 4/5 hours of sleep everyday and crashing every other week for 12 hours and being sick and nauseous most times. I didnt even think it was a problem. Cause in school cause all nighters were so easy to pull staying up 3 days in a row and feeling like shit but being so used to it that it feels normal💀 At 23 10 years later, 2 months ago I developed positional vertigo due to my sinusitis which would happen as soon as i would lay down.so i couldnt sleep at all for 4 days straight and started hallucinating thats when the doctor put me on sleeping pills for a week and vertigo medication and once that was managed been on melatonin since 10 mg and finally i m able to sleep 5/6 hours in a row and fall asleep in 1 hour max and can fall back asleep most times after waking up before my alarm. So please get it checked out dont let this fester. I had forgotten for 10 years how it felt to not be lethargic and nauseous all the time. 💀💀 And I got diagnosed with anxiety as well this year when i went to the neurologist after my 4 days of no sleep so💀💀
Something I do to quiet my body & mind, I find nature sounds, the ocean, light snow, &.walking tour videos peaceful & for my body & mind at once Dr.Teals Matcha epsom salt, it has a very relaxing, calm, spa, clean scent, leaves your skin soft & actually relaxes my senses & mind, *there is a slight (non staining) residue from the matcha(easily washes away). There’s also the same in liquid if you prefer. Hope this helps🥰
You really need to shove everything related to your work away before bed. Make sleeping your priority but do not get too anxious about it. Having a relaxing night routine without scrolling your phone so might help.
Morning, Yuyu🌞🩵🌞 Such a great routines while you're iin NEW YORK 🥰👍 WELL DONE, my dear 🏆🎉🥳🏆 Have a great Wednesday & make it happy for you this month of June 2024 🥰😇🥰
When there are a lot of thoughts after you wake up maybe try some sleep hygiene and psychotherapy ❤ a couple of months is a long time, hope it gets better soon!
Have you tried breath work? It really helped me regulate my nervous system, which then helped my sleep tremendously. Hope you feel better soon and you can relax and get some good rest. I know what you’re going through 😩
Hey! I think some of the recommendations above are great for sleep and definitely try those but if you are really struggling still as you are Chinese you must definitely know about Traditional Chinese medicine, and I’m not sure how you feel about it. I know from some of my fellow students from China they had bad memories of it from the horrible tasting medicine, they were a little traumatized by it haha, but they came back to it. It can definitely help with sleep issues but not sure, I’m sure you know it’s out there and an option I just know lost of people who don’t want to try sleeping pills either because they are addictive and most people don’t want to be dependant on pills but just to put it out there also feel free to totally ignore this as it may be an over step. I only suggest because I am a TCM student myself and we just talked about how to help with sleep issues so it’s on my brain, lolol but I hope you find something that works for you because not being able to sleep is the worst 😊
Hello YuYan! Maybe you can cut out coffee and switch to an alternative with less caffeine. Also, maybe listen to your body and allow it to do its thing. Maybe it needs some time to reset itself. Taking breaks from your usual routine and do some self-care! And don't keep your anxious thoughts to yourself. You should talk it out or write them down.
it’s probably stress, worry, anxiety, too much on your plate, super busy with your business, etc causing your insomnia, but get it checked out just in case, you never know if it’s an underlying health problem ! much love to you yuyan ♥️
