Hi!! Thanks a lot! The question is: What codec does the greenscreen clip have? When on set I would do nothing less than prores444, but that may not be available to everybody! BUT indeed the one thing that makes your key work or not is a good quality codec. Any thoughts or tips on that?
Thank you for doing this. I have been using Photoshop and After Effects for over 20 years. Your video makes me realize that I have not been keeping up.
Thank you very much Eran. A video with your experience (pros and cons) with Primatte Keyer from Maxon (Redgiant) and BCC Primatte Studio (Boris FX) vs Keylight. Toda raba!
This method works incredible! But how do we get it so the grey edge doesnt show up when we want to render it as a transparent png sequences opposed to having a background in AE?
Unfortunately you can't render the (improved) alpha channel using this method, you must composite it with the BG in After Effects. This is the nature of blending mode in any application
@@SternFXstill such a great method!! I appreciate the response. The (partial) technique I used from the video helped maintain a lot of my subjects hair on transparent background.
Hi! What if I want to export the video with a transparent background? When I remove the background the grey from the screen grow is showing. is there a way to fix that ?
@@KhairilAkbar-d9f Make sure you don't have any BG layer in your comp and follow what I wrote. you can watch this short, just make sure to choose the PNG format instead of the default ua-cam.com/video/TDJhOMjsRck/v-deo.html
Saved this one to favourites. Thanks.

I've never seen this method of using the blend mode to claw back fine detail ....its interesting....I'm going to have a go.
This is a revelation!! Thank you very much!
Best keying tips ever!👍👍👍

Absolutely, the clip quality has major impact on the result. If you can set it to Apple ProRes HQ 44444 you'll get better results.
