Hey guys! I hope you can have the time to respond to this. You produce great videos and, I’m sure, saved people a ton of money. I’ve followed along your Chevy Cruse transmission solinoid replacement video while working on my 2010 Equinox. After much consternation putting it back together, I’ve realized that I have a Gen 1 version which doesn’t exactly match the Gen 2. I have 4 little plastic pieces shaped like a mushroom with a hole going all the way through. Everyone seems to be working on the Gen 2 which evidently doesn’t have them. Any suggestions about where I might find an explanation of where they go? Thanks!❤
Thanks guys your very helpful. I have a 2011 cruze 2.6 petrol auto. The gears changes around 4500rpm a d no torque it take long to reach the speed and when it change the gear feels like hickup. I have changed the oil it was good for 2days the gears changes around 2500rpm a d then back to same problem as before. Any idea. Th8
Hello friend! From your experience do you think I can replace a 6T40 Gen1 from my Opel Astra J with a new one transmission 6T40 Gen2 and programming the new TCM(clear TCM) for my car without any problems at the synchronization with the ECU of my car? Thanks! (The same car with the same engine code after 2012 equipped with a Gen2 6T40)
This is only ONE way to test the solenoids... Ohm test tests the coil of the solenoid, BUT it could still be sticking, or faulty. What you NEED to do, is test with 12V and make sure they all click. The shift solenoid might function differently than the rest, not sure about that one.
If you shake the shift solenoid, would it normally have a rattle sound. Mine sounds like something inside is rattling when I shake the solenoid. It’s ohms reading was 18.something and when tested with a nine volt battery it sounds like something is definitely moving and kind of looks like something is moving around the piston

Hello I have a 2013, 1.8 sonic. Mother in law stopped at light, she said car shook and she put in park. Light turn green, she put in drive but nothing happend. I tied rope and towed to my house. I can put car in any gear and shift to park and can here the the trans turning over the cv axels teeth. Sir what do you think happend ?
I have replaced all selenoids in 6T30 Gen 2 TCM (GM PN 24265789) to avoid reprogramming. Wheb sitted on towers, thw transmission spins the wheels forward while in drive, but the do the same in reverse. Also, when the wheels are sitted in the ground, thw transmission can not make them spin. ANY IDEAS?
i have a 2011 equinox that came with a pet squirrel. The squirrel bit me when I plugged it in. It didn't throw any codes, just made me bleed a lot. Do you think replacing the 'B' pressure solenoid would solve my problem?
I used your videos to replace the valve body and solenoids on a 2011 equinox and it is all back together and the car dose not shift into any gear. What am I missing? HELP
When you put the valve body.(the aluminum block) there’s that pieces of metal on top tha moves left to right. That metal piece has 2 rings standing up. In your transmission there’s a metal rod sticking down that moves when you shift, that metal rod has to go in between those 2 rings in the aluminum block. That is what manually shifts the car into whatever gear you put it in.

Changed one solenoid, car wont crank in park or neutral.
Would this be a bad MLP/ Transmission Range sensor/ Neutral Safety Switch?

any way of testing the computer/ brain box connected to the housing of the solinoids
