What did Lemmy do to deserve this torment?, I know he probably has the “clown” or aesthetic from his design but why him!?, Maybe it’s because he’s cute and innocent idk.
@@skylarthompson299 I have read that one before, although it's not the one I'm talking about, the one I'm referring to is called "Threshold" by Luigiwife1551. It's around 230k words long (so about Harry Potter book length) and has 67 chapters, although currently, its on hiatus due to the author's personal life getting in the way. It's actually really heartwarming and well-made, but the cutoff is kinda disappointing. I plan on doing a Trimming of it (with approval from the author) because it was my absolute favorite fanfic as a young teen, so I'm actually in the middle of rereading it so I can properly get things back in my head.
As for why I have no idea, my theory is that Threshold sort of inspired a lot of it as this characterization never really happened all too often during the LemmyLand days, and it probably couldn't have anyways since it was a family-friendly website and the webmaster probably wouldn't even accept that kind of thing happening to dear old Lemmy. But for fanfics made pre-2014 and outside of Lemmy's land domain, I do still see him getting chucked around.

Not to say that he's always in situations like these but as a person who used to gobble up fanfics, especially more mature ones, of the Koopalings, Lemmy just seemed to get his shell kicked in constantly.
I think it also may be in part due to him just being a pretty easy target for that, as he's been characterized as less than smart in some bits of Mario Media, with Colorsplash being the only one I can recall giving him a personality other than crazy dumb clown instead opting for the Sly Clown.

The drawing, the editing, the sound effects, I'm doing everything by myself and no Mario Comic can be done within a time limit.
