The au55 that was struck 20% off center amazes me how a coin that is so obviously a mint error can be so highly circulated! I guess back in 1879 there weren't too many people collecting coins. That coin had to have passed through so many hands before somebody said "I might want to take this out of circulation and hang on to it"
A dollar back then was a whole lot of money. Not many people could hoard them.

Find old people 90% of really old people collected And a lot of them haven’t looked at their coins in a lot of years so they don’t even know really what they got I just make offers to them and I come up on a lot of Carson City and all morgan dollars I don’t really buy a lot of coins from online because they’ve already been searched and no one’s really going to sell you or give you something that’s really worth alot money If you’re trying to make a lot of money you need to buy from them older people

I have a 1879 Philadelphia example which shows a possible struck through the die error, which shows a possible struck through steel wire error visible across Liberty's nose. Possibly a die hubbing error. Any additional information would be appreciated greatly so I can be sure as to its rarity before I decide to sell.
