My thought is that they both still have a lot of laundry to air out. I mean, when El realized that Oscar Papa was the one who put the hit out on Liv....i could see fire coming out of his ears! Can u imagine the intensity of the William Lewis discussion?!??!! Elliot will NEVER let her out of his sight again! Also, too, if Elliot is still struggling with losing Kathy (hence the vision) its not fair for he and Liv to get together yet. He needs to clear his mind and be ready to move on. I think the writers are doing such a beautiful job on this. Losing a spouse of over 25 years takes time to recover from, even when you deal with it properly....El throws himself into his work and doesnt allow himself to get help. 3 years isnt going to be long enough. We know they love each other and THEY know they love each other. It will happen and Im willing to wait as long as it takes! ❤❤❤❤
Maybe his vision of kathy was foreshadowing for liv getting shot. As in his work wife and the loveof his life will also be in a hospital gown and he might lose her (but he won't 😊)

And yes I hope he does find out about Lewis because that’s in my opinion where her independence from Elliot started. She wished he was there but he wasn’t and she saved herself.
i think seeing the vision of kathy was a warning that something big is about to happen and she wants him to know its ok to move forward with liv and protect her when she gets shot in the next episode that is when things will come out

Season 4 of OC not starting until 2024 gives the writers plenty of time to figure out how Rollins will fit in the OC-verse.
