That spray bottle is so calming.
The spray bottle is to wet the sugar so the Bees will know its food and not dump it outside..
Best The first spring flyby of bees 2022
Oh my gosh, I learned something!
You should post more often!
Wow I use to have 10 bee hive' s at one time and I use to feed them outside the hive with sugar water, but that was on California, I've never seen this done,,,,,,
Intresting nice idea. for the cold clima is same my in the italian alps
Do you use mountain camp method as much in spring as you do in winter?
I'm puzzled why people talk about this method constantly for fall, but not in spring and wondered why. With your video it looks like you are doing this spring so maybe you have insight.
Beautiful colony! Lots of bees when you took the lid off! Like it!
I do it only in spring as emergency feeding for strong colonies with rapidly increasing food consumption as they start raising brood again in spring. I have no idea why anyone would use this in fall. In fall you usually feed sugarsyrup for them to storage in cells for later use in winter or use candy boards in some part of the world on top of hives.
@@noahriding5780 some people do it in fall to keep it all thru the winter if bees runs out of storages sooner than spring.
@@vytbbb7146 will the survival rate still be as good if you don't have stuff like burlap or water absorption cloth in the top?
@@noahriding5780 can't comment on that, too little experience with that. I use insulated top with towel under it.

Hello, how are your bees doing? Winter will be soon. Can you make new videos?
Hi BFMeister. The liquid in the bottle is normal water, or you added something in it?
acalinescu Hi! Yes just warm water. It helps to harden sugar so it won't drop between frames once newspaper is removed by bees. Also helps bees to dissolve sugar for their needs. :)
At 0:39 , there is a wire/cable coming out the entrance. What is it for.
7 watt heater for getting them through the harsh winter easier and for faster spring development. I'm not normally using artificial heating for my hives but this was really small colony and I didnt want to lose them.
@@vytbbb7146 No. It is controlled by a thermostat and it only heats when ambient temperature is below +5C (+41F). After spring cleansing flight it is set to heat 24/7 and turns off when it is +18C (+64F)or more.
@@vytbbb7146 I'm using water proof terrarium heaters(mats and cables). You should find them from pet stores for example. Nowadays I'm using 10W and 16W ones.
Bom 😃😺 dia
Feeding bees with SUGAR is extremely TOXIC and sugar is bad for all creatures. Stop been so rude and greedy and just feed the bee 🐝 WITH their own honey 🍯
Do you use a top entrance or no??
Kdog No I don't use top entrance. Solid bottom and bottom entrance all year around.
When I did that, the bees took all of the sugar out of the beehive.
Bees take out each sugar crystal from the hive, and they eat only wet food. Please try my method, last winter even colonies for 3 frames survived on this top dressing. Only such patty need to be laid on top of the frames immediately after the onset of cold weather

did you give 1 kilo of sugar? Was that enough for the winter?
I also feed the bees for the winter. Only I put the food directly on the frames. I don't give dry sugar to the bees because it doesn't always work. They throw out a lot of sugar crystals. And sometimes bees die of hunger even if they have sugar. I am doing very simple soft patties. The bees really like this and they winter well. This is how I do it ua-cam.com/video/r5ZS1Z-483k/v-deo.html I can make such food also without honey ua-cam.com/video/Ah2Q9kNaQys/v-deo.html
This is the craziest way to feeding bees i have ever seen
