I think the ruling was right, defection is more than granting a press interview, It's to be documented. Once that is not done, there's no defection.
If you publicly announce that you have defected (as a lawyer maker ) from your party to another should be upheld as a legal effective defection. If the speaker of the house announces that he is now the Governor/ President, is that not a treason?

I like the fact Dr Sule Lamido acknowledge that Nigeria is very rich. what is lacking is leadership and the polical will to harness the vast natural resources to we have and put them into good use.

All actions the Rivers State Governor, the state House of Assembly and other interested parties have taken based on the Assembly members publicly declared defection to APC, are all deemed to have been taken in good faith and legally binding. If APC has not issued them with party cards, or entered their names in APC register, that is just mere administrative lapses on the part of APC. That does not contravene their public declaration,and the public acknowledgement of their membership of APC by the APC caretaker commitee chairman in Rivers State. They have since been enjoying the priviledges of APC membership and cannot repudiate the unpleasant elements of its membership.
