I noticed a big recurring patern in this game. At 0-0, unless the team you are up against is terrible, it's usually hard to score the go ahead goal, but defending is quite easy. Once you have a 1-0 lead the AI goes into "throw the kitchen sink at you" attack mode, and defending gets way harder, but of you can keep them out of your goal and go up 2-0, the AI will completly capitulate and it is almost guaranteed you will get 2-3 more goals from almost comical mistakes by the AI opponent. But that's it, get 5 goals and the opponent flicks a switch and turns into prime Barcelona. This seems to be the formula about 75% of the time on fifa 23.
I usually play fifa with my dad. In fifa 23 most of the matches ended 6-5. but then i decided to play in fifa 21. thay usually ended in 2-1. i'm not talking about the AI but scoring is easire than defending in fifa 23
Scoring is definitely easier, and I think there are times both for you and against you where the game just lets in weak goals just for the sake of running up the score. It really kills the realism. I played in real life from the time I was 5 years old until I was in my mid 20's and I can probably count on one hand the amount of times there were 10 or more total goals in a game, and the few times it did happen was when there was a sizeable mismatch between the skill levels of the two sides. At the professional level it is even less common. I think there was maybe two games all season where a premier league side scored 7 or more goals.
For me it’s whenever I score the cpu literally scores 2-3 mins after me it almost never fails .. it got to the point where I’m just like this isn’t a coincidence
The AI was absolutely outrageously bad. Your team AI doesn't defend. The cdms cms don't come back to help. The opponent AI does the same thing every time. Games were waay to high scoring. Obvious scripting, never have I ever noticed it so hard. When the game wants the AI to score you have no chance against them. Other than that I was pretty pleased.

I live fifa but it gets to be a grind pretty quick. Gotta switch up what games your playing, ive learned to just take a break when its feeling dull and pick it back up in a week or two and youll have alot more fun with it.
I really want the "request funds" option back. Also we should have a free agents list for managers, and we should have the option for Create a Club when you retire a player and start manager mode, rather than just picking from the available jobs list. Lastly, EA should add the online career mode. These 4 things would make career mode in EA SPORTS FCso much more fun. Especially the free agent managers, and the online career mode. The best thing about an online career mode is, unlike FUT you will never face the same player in you're linuep in an opponent's linuep.

NGL, one of the only reason I bought FIFA 23 was to have more players that have an in stadium announcer, cause the list in FIFA 22 was miserable. I like it when they announce my player, like who's in the line up, who's getting substituted, and who just scored a goal. Sad to see that many players, even if they're in the EPL, doesn't have their names announced. And to be honest, I missed the Japanese and the Mexican league. I'm glad they added Seria B but why can't we have our slice of cake and the cake too? And finally, I found FIFA 23 to be the one I raged most on because of the shoddy defending system. I get that tackling have timing, and I'm not the best at that, but the AI enemy striker could just easily dodged a tackle from behind; or when I tackled them my defender were the one who lost their balance, despite having 90 balance and 84 strength, while the enemy striker would just powered through it and carried on like it was nothing. I wouldn't say I love it but since I have no alternative that's quite like it, so there's no other option for football game, really
As a career mode player I’d love to request the ability to request additional funds from your owner, schedule friendlies, and slowly upgrade your stadium rather than just picking one(or stadium creator), but as a madden player fifa was significantly better than last year 8/10

First time playing fifa with fifa 22 3 months ago(game pass) and last 1.5 months on fifa 23. The game definitely feels more fluid in a lot of gameplay, but then there are minor infractions that when added up make for a horrible experience somehow. The odd player switching prioritization, magnetizing players, and I wish the presentation was different or at least had more, but once you play it a week, it feels like youve seen/heard everything it has to offer and skip thru most scenes. Granted, i dont think this is a fifa only issue, more of a sporting game genre issue. Was it a good game? I think in parts, but the gameplay annoyance, boring presentation, and absolutely abhorrent monetization means its overall a bad game. But hey, I think 2k is also a bad game but I still log tons of hours into it
Yeah it’s like the older we get the worse these games get gaming felt so much better when I was younger now these games literally makes me not even want to play the game anymore .. like you said after a week or so playing them it’s gets boring and repetitive.. wish they loved making a good game as much as they loved getting our money
I don’t get how people liked this game?? I don’t play fut everyday so maybe I don’t have the same feeling but I’ve been playing Fifa for decades and always play career mode, it obviously will get boring sometimes but this fifa just has soo many bugs and broken things that are simple to fix it just ruins it for me, hopefully it goes back to being a fun football game not a way for ea to bleed parents wallets dry through fut 😅
Personally for me this is the first time the Philippine Womens team or any Philippine team to be in a fifa game, although their ratings were EXTREMELY exaggerated it was like a dream come true because now i could play as my favorite Players. We Didn't Make it in the R016 But the Filipinos (like myself) were celebrating wild. Hopefully another fun new team joins the world cup, whether it may be mens or womens.
around the first 3-4 months, it was terrible. honest shit. then around february and march they started making it better, and i think fifa 23's peak is right now.
It was fine. Still not happy with defending, midfielders still do not track back properly, and having to drag players back into a line is not what I'd call a fun way to defend. For me, the biggest missed opportunity this year was not extending Cross Platform for Pro Club - I'd argue that's the game mode that would have benefited most from it.
FIFA 23 is good given its has no challenger. However would like variation in lower ranked teams. They rarely park the bus or misplace passes and tackles.
One thing I don’t like about UT, it’s so much easier for so many players to get some OP players. Making the competitiveness so much more difficult.I wish they made it to where it’s harder to get higher rated players even on the free packs. I feel like I have to pay to get a higher rated player to win more games… I was ones In League 1 even with a lower rated players on UT. So hopefully EAFC will make more competitive and harder to get higher rated players.
I used to love fifa as a kid, playing from fifa 12 to 16, and they were so good. I went on a hiatus from fifa and came back to 22, which was honestly fun and got me back into it and I felt genuinely decent at the online part of the game which I'd never really done before. Then fifa 23. I had got Fifa 22 for free on PS Plus, then I bought 23 for 60 pound. What a mistake. The players are so clunky, the passing is aimed at the enemy team and the AI is a travesty. I feel like I'm brain dead in one game, then the next I'm unstoppable. Horrifically inconsistent and disappointingly buggy, Fifa 23 is a joke and I hope EAFC revives my interest in these games.

Do you guys use develoment plans in career mode? I think it boost to much the player’s ratings and it makes the game more unrealistic because you have a team full of 90 rated players
Hello , I was struggling in fifa 23 career mode. I took an EFL League 2 team to the Premier league with like literally everyone above 79, i even had about 4 players above 84. i had nothing wrong. the players were sharp and young, I didn't get relegated at all, and I got promoted every season. All the scouts were maxed out both youth and senior scouts and the club wasn't broke. The club had 50 Million Dollars. And then the board terminated my contract. Do you have any advice?
You probably failed some ludicrous objective like not signing players from a certain country, or raising the average age of the squad, or not playing youth players in enough games or something like that. I haven't experienced myself yet, but to be fair I haven't gotten past 3 seasons yet because I get bored and start new careers. I hear many others having the same problem. The only solution is to make sure you complete every objective, no matter how ridiculous they are, and even if they say "low priority".
To be fair the player switching has always been terrible, what annoys me most about it is that you would think by now that issue should have been sorted out.
I know it could be better, but I think Ultimate Team has come on leaps and bounds as a game mode over the years. People complain about too many special cards, but it’s good for casual viewers who play maybe a few times a week, as you can build a good team by just doing objectives and milking free packs. How I’ve done it ever since I’ve played, and I only played it every day in lockdown, and I always end up with a full special 90+ team by the end of it. Most annoying thing about fut is the servers and other players lol
As an avid baseball and American football fan, FIFA has the best sports game. Flaws and all. It is a great outlet for Americans to dive into English football and enjoy the world's greatest league, the Prem. COYS.
FIFA 23 was Great, especially after playing fc24 and fc25, I really hope FIFA and EA keep the servers of FIFA 23 up as long as possible. Hopefully FC 26 improves and makes a good comeback.
I’ll admit it’s some what difficult to compare for me. I went for fifa 22 on ps4 to the next gen version of 23 on pc. I also can’t make a great comparison since I haven’t been able to play either a ton
Tbh better than I expected. The reveal for career mode was awful & the initial gameplay was very unrealistic but with the right sliders this game has felt has good as ever gameplay wise
I think the graphics and cut scenes were Stunning. The game mods were standard not really good. But all this would be ok, when the gameplay would not be absolut Dog shit. Like the AI is absolutly dumb. And the sliding gives me headpain. If they would just have kept current gen gameplay and mixed it with the new grafics the game would be a 8/10. But now its a 4/10 for me.🤷🏻
I’m sorry but, for me, this is the 2nd worst fifa I have ever played (I’ve played since FIFA 12). The AI are so repetitive and make the game so incessantly boring, every game is the AI jockeying and holding the ball and barely playing any possession or proper tactical play. It’s either that or they play better tiki taka than prime Barca. The game is lethargic and slow. GKs are disgraceful. EA tried making the game more realistic, so much so that now the game feels incredibly unrealistic. The AI’s defensive positioning and movement is slow and unrealistic. There’s simply no combative, competitive edge against the AI. It’s super easy to win. I used to get battered playing against legendary, now I go invincible in seasons against Ultimate difficulty. FUT Moments game mode is completely useless due to lack of attention to it. Squad battles and Div Rivals are basically pointless due to lack of good rewards. Trivelas are OP. Step over boost is OP. Cut backs are OP. Ball rolls are OP. 541 is OP. Every player leaves at 0-0. FIFA scripting is horrendous. The game is a mess. Complete mess. From FUT to career mode to gameplay. Only Fifa 19 has been worse for me. And that was beyond plagued and broken. I personally think FIFA 23 was a terrible game, only worsened by FIFA 19!
I think that it was a good game taking into account that they could of done nothing since it’s the last fifa with ea and they could’ve put all focus towards ea sports fc
A lot better than FIFA 22, and honestly if they keep fixing issues in future installments we can see a bright future (as much of a high standard that is for FIFA.) As a player career mode player I just want better defensive AI because oh my god it’s like they’re Sunday league players out there sometimes. Also want them to stop manipulating results. Like three goals in 5 minutes of sim? Seriously? The next FIFA can be so good (have no faith for EAFC) they just need to listen to us for once.

Yea, in the player career mode it's the most noticable how awful AI is. You could play as a Striker for Germany (Nat team) against Finland or China and they'd have at least 70% of possesion fr. And lets not talk about how our AI defenders go all the way back to the goal line so the opponents can score the easiest goals ever
Content was good. Game play horrendous as always, menus are shit always glitching out. Your settings always change, even mid game sometimes. So many compensation packs lately… this last fifa was truly a “fuck it we getting paid either way” kind of game.
Honestly FIFA 23's gameplay is much funner but other than that it's like the previous games before it. I'd say if you just want to have the newer players who have faces and better gameplay, I'd say go for it. If not and you actually want a full on new game, then wait for the newer games.
Game play lacking now efootball has had a number of updates and I can't stand how 'fat' the players bodies are now. I prefer the Slimer body frame of 2021. PC port is poor and the player still 'skate' around the pitch. I just hope now they have left EA, that they can really address the game play. The package as a whole is incredible and the career mode is quality (just need to fix the loan issues and star players moving to easily, but PC mods do fix this). Overall I think it's a upgrade slightly but gameplay will fall behind soon if not addressed.
Lol hated this fifa gameplay my favorite still fifa 18 so far and 15. Playing online is a nightmare where i see that psg logo😂 i did make it to division 1 this year straight with no relegations tho
I hated this game- it's easily my less favorite football game ever, and I played every single one that came out after 2002. Might be heavily related to the fact that I played on PC though. An awful port, and when I actually could play the game, it just wasn't worth it. Ugly animations, unrealistic ball physics, non-existant defence... Overall a terrible experience.
I gave it multiple chances after playing fifa 18 for years, there was some good additions off the field for career mode but I could not stand the gameplay, even with OS sliders. The ai is just complete dog shit😂 no movement in attack or defense!!! I mean I’ve seen children play better football by just flailing about. Re-Skined FIFA 22, Nothing new, promised so much in the build up, and recieved nothing.
As a efootball player for 3 months ,FIFA is far much better
For me the game on manual with custom sliders is incredible. I also love how the my career works compared to other games.
But now its a 4/10 for me.🤷🏻
Still waiting for the day career mode let's us request funds
You used to be able to back in FIFA 16 days. EA don’t like people having fun.
The games not over I played fifa with a live streamer on youtube and enjoyed it
it was AWESOMELY FRUSTRATING, but loved every second of it losing all the time to 13 year olds
Since when was the carabao cup scoreboard in fifa???
Manual defending was an absolute abomination
Is the career mode Champions League glitch fixed?
Couldn't even start the game on pc because of the anticheat
Was alright after the update around mid feb
I’m back after playing 24 and 25 and I can tell you, yes fifa 23 was a very good game
Should I buy it now is it worth in stream summer sale??
Content was good. Game play horrendous as always, menus are shit always glitching out. Your settings always change, even mid game sometimes. So many compensation packs lately… this last fifa was truly a “fuck it we getting paid either way” kind of game.
after i score a goal ai gives up and it gets easier to score like in 60-80mins
I mean, fifa 23 was alright, but the gameplay really ruined it. I've obviously used slides, but for me it wasn't enough.
Can someone tell me why he’s playing vanarama league in the background? How is this possible???
Mods.
The game itself is really good, but it’s so broken that it’s ridiculous. It doesn’t need to be this way.
Someone please help me. I have fifa 19 as of now. Now fifa 23 is on discount. Should I buy it now or wait for 24? btw, fifa 23 is available for 23 cad
Honestly FIFA 23's gameplay is much funner but other than that it's like the previous games before it.
I'd say if you just want to have the newer players who have faces and better gameplay, I'd say go for it.
If not and you actually want a full on new game, then wait for the newer games.
I didnt think you could crossplay on 23?
This game will only be worth it when it is free on ps plus
I think a lot of players didnt take the gameplay regulators seriously in my opinion...theres much more possible!😉
For me the game is unplayed with every corner being a bicycle kick and you can do nothing about it i play ps4 so i don't know ps5
It’s infuriating tbh cause it would be a solid game if it wasn’t for the ai
IMO it was prob a 4.5 out of ten
Average Fifa nothing was unique in this version
NO! No Brazil in the game!
The gameplay makes my eyes bleed. It’s horrific. I’ll stick to pes thank you !
Been a bit shite I can't lie
Its a good game I had fun
E a sports fc will have Notts county
Hello and welcome back to my new comment
i liked Fifa 23 had women’s football
Unfortunate to those who teams aren’t on Fifa 24.
Looks like fifa 13
fifa its always a good game, it isnt the same as the last game, its obviusly different in gameplay, animations, even graphics and other stuff, but yes, maybe the gameplay changes, maybe there are some new details but you shouldnt pay 90 dollars for that...
Simple answer: No
The game was a complete piece of trash. The gameplay was so shit. Attacking AI gets a special award for being completely useless.
FIFA 24 been pay for win
What, its woman football in the game?
No
No.
Not the best
No it’s trash.
