Wallahi he is spot on about the cartoons that mock parents. Look at Simpsons, Southpark and many more shows where the parents are made to look inferior to their children in everything. It plants an evil seed in the mind of the child that will inevitably lead to bad endings.
May Allah guide both the parents and children, and may he instil patience in us all.

My mother is being a bad person lately she’s cheating on my dad and she sometimes doesn’t cover her hair in front of unknown men. She talks with every guy in a flirtatious way and it really hurts me I don’t really know what to do I know it’s a test from Allah but I’m thinking what if Allah swt waits for me to to do something I mean I’m just waiting for things to be okay, I didn’t tell my dad yet that mom is cheating on him and I didn’t even let my mom that I know it.. my life is so hard and because of my mom I’m starting to turn away from Allah cause when I see her doing those haram things I just can’t pray, read Quran or even remembering Allah please help me i need someone to talk to.. btw I’m 15 years old girl.

I am sorry I don't know what to advise you. I don't want it that my advice could possibly lead to something worse. Keep making dua for her and don't become hasty (like I mean it you should keep making dua to Allah and not become the 'Allah is not accepting my duas ' person) When a person makes dua, Allah grants it or He will give you something better than it or instead He will give you reward. And of course don't ever lose your patience. (A lot of the times when I see people in comments dealing with those who insult Allah or insult Islam or smthn like that, they resort to bad and swear words. If that ever happens with you then don't resort to foul language bad or swear words just saying.)

This made me cry. I can't believe how bad humans are! I got very emotional at the bit when they said "when you're parents are 80" ect. I extremely LOVE my parents! If I even think about what will happen to them as they get older it feels like I'm gonna have a heart attack, that's why I try not to think about it (but I always think about looking after them like they looked after me). the most idiotic show I've EVER seen was "mortified". I mean they're totally mocking their parents, saying their mental and all that. I swear, I hate these TV shows, what are they trying to prove? that "Parents are so embarrassing and so mental and crazy" seriously these directors are so STUPID! I hate them so much!

Sorry Sabrina, I didn't mean my comment in a negative manner. I know exactly what you mean about listening to this and feeling tearful, I lost my dad this year and he was very ill, which left him bed ridden for 4 years. He suffered so much, we did try our best to care for him but I know deep down I could have done a lot more. Allah gave me a opportunity to care for him but I never took full advantage of this. I pray Allah accepts my efforts and forgives me for any short coming.

    • @sabrinaaseme8903
      @sabrinaaseme8903 9 років тому +1

Mohammed Ali No need to be sorry and the comment wasn't negative. And "Inna lil la hi wa inna ilay hi rajioon". Sorry for your loss. Keep praying for your father, if you keep praying "Ya Allah, please will you allow my Father to go to Jannah, please will you protect him from hell fire." (ect) There is allot of chances that he will go to Jannah and be at peace. Allah will also tell him "your son has prayed for you!" and your father will be sooo happy, his soul will be so happy, it'll be full of joy! Then your dad will tell his neighbor (the person in the other grave next to him) "My son has prayed for me! I have got allot of good deeds now!". In-sha-allah, he will go to jannah.

      1. Be patient - it takes many years for some people
      2. Be nice and listen to them when they speak or tell you their stories.
      3. Take a keen interest in them and their likes and dislikes .
      4. Smile and try to make them happy when you meet them
      5. Buy them gifts.
      6. Try to be compassionate about their faults and do not judge them even if they have been unfair to you or abused you in the past.
      7. Be gentle in your da'wah - try suggestion and story telling rather than giving them direct advise
      8. Prayer
      9. Take them on vacations with you
      10. Read on how to be charming and influencing others
Hope it works out for you. Do it for the sake of God and not to get approval from them . Everyones different . Just my personal opinion and what worked for me - I'm no expert so do your research and take advise from more qualified people.

I honestly and sincerely wish that our scholars would take a firm and unyielding stance against:
    1. Child abuse - physical, verbal, mental, emotional. This is a crime in many countries around the world as seen in Wikipedia. This causes significant damage and lack of trust and respect not to mention resentments against the parent(s).
    2. Forced marriages - even pressuring your children to get married and refusing to support them (esp daughters) when they are trapped in abusive marriages and not letting them get a divorce due to family honor.
    3. Honor killings - these are common in the Middle East and also among many Muslim immigrants in the West. These are family conspiracies where even mothers encourage their sons to go and kill their sisters to preserve family honor.
Can you (assuming you are a girl found guilty of violating the honor code - according to the whims of the family) love or even honor your father, brother, uncles or even mother if they are attempting to kill you or harm you?
It’s not enough to simply say “oh but it’s not Islam, it’s haram”. We need strategies and programs to deal with such issues.
Why do you think children want nothing to do with parents? Would you want to be near toxic people esp if they are your own family?
As one Islamic scholar put it, in bookstores he sees books written on these topics by Non Muslim authors but none by Muslim ones.
I read about child abuse in Jewish websites and Jewish scholars have taken a firm stance against it. It’s time we did. Oh and also let’s stop abusing and beating children in maddrassahs around the world.

    Prophet Mohammad SAAW says:
اثنان يعجلهما الله في الدنيا - البغي وعقوق الوالدين
TWO [wrongs] WHICH ALLAH PRECIPITATES THEM (i.e., Allah precipitates their retribution) IN THE [degenerate life of this] DUNYA - THE OUTRAGEOUS AGGRESSION [against others] AND THE [children] ABUSE OF PARENTS.
