Hi Everyone, In case you want a Higher Yield alternative to these CASH ETFs but are willing to take a bit more risk... make sure to check out these 2 videos on ETFs i consider "safer" to park CASH as well: ua-cam.com/video/M5JvlizWIbM/v-deo.html + ua-cam.com/video/iSW-c8mounQ/v-deo.html
Adriano!!! A down to earth millionaire that is transparent, honest & fair - such a pleasure to have had a chance to get advice from (one on one coaching) … I could have never started my journey without your personal guidance 🎉
I'm getting a lot out of your videos, and those which espouse split corps and derivative backed ETF's are very informative and well worth watching even though I dislike those vehicles. Keep up the good work =)
...oh, and also focussing on growth ETF's with the above structures. Invesco is certainly pushing the envelope in this realm and IMHO may folks don't even realize they're buying Swaps!
Hello Adriano. Love all your videos. I'm a member of the PII club. I'm Canadian. I need to park USD $ for the next 6 months. Its in a margin account (not registrered). Which ETF would you recommend? 1. would prefer to keep in USD 2. Would prefer to invest in Canadian mkt to avoid the withholding tax if any. I found HISU: do you have a another recommendation?
thanks for the video I assume it works like an etf? any amount I want to add ? for any amount of time? I see many using CASH on Blossom social. What about Eqbank? any thoughts on it? I wish the banks would offer a savings account with a decent int rate thanks.
Would I lose money if I buy the etf at 50.08 and then have to sell it 2 weeks later at 50? Does that mean I lose 0.08? Or after selling the etf, I would get 0.08 back when CASH distributes dividends ?
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting hiii does that mean that I can just buy CASH with my extra cash and sell it whenever without worrying that I would lose money?
This is useful. The only problem i have is in TD Webroker none of these can be purchased. I would have to move my TFSA to a different broker. Are you aware of any similar ETF that can be obtained on TD.
Nice! This deserves my subscription. While checking these 3 etfs I just found also HSAV which doesn't distribute but reinvests it, seems attractive too, Have you talked about this kind?
There are some newer ETFs that might fit into this category. NEOS has CSHI. Simplify has HIGH. I feel both of these ETFs are interesting. Another ETF that has been around for a while and deals with bonds is SPHY. Neos also has BNDI that deals with bonds.
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting Sorry about that. Some other ETFs that ate similar to JPST and ICSH are SHV, BIL, SGOV, and MINT. These are considered short term bond ETFs. Also, there are floating rate bond ETFs like FLOT, FLRN, FLTR, VRIG, and TFLO. They all seem to perform similar. The short term bond ETFs seem to have dividend yields around 4%, and some of the floating rate bond ETFs seem to have dividend yields around 5%.
Just to let you know the banks (e.g. TD Webbroker) forbid you to buy these funds because their rates are much lower. I have been trying for months to buy these money market funds.
@@stephenrutherford All cannot be purchased from TD. I am reluctant to transfer my account to private brokerages as it takes time and unsafe in case of a financial meltdown. These savings etfs are in direct competition with the banks for saving deposits and the bank’s rates are much lower and so they stop you from buying.
Good video. I would love to hear your thoughts on if you would recommend people to hold these kind of ETFs in tax sheltered accounts like the TFSA and Roth IRA
Can you make a video comparing 30 yrs of investing and renting vs 30 yrs of paying a mortgage including all cost of owning a house for ??? I can't wait to hear from you ... Tnx for all ur videos ... Have been watching u since u had 5k subs ... Great growth
Thanks for the loyalty ! I wouldn’t know how to present concrete data on this suggested video . Where the home is is a huge factor and what you invest in also
That kind of video is very hard to do because interest rates , rent in each area and property tax in each area alone are so different and as for all the cost of owning a house will be a lot different depending how old a house is.
Hey hi hello! Love the videos so much that I've wanted to open a quest trade account but the code doesn't work :( Their chat assistance also say it's inactive.
Hi Kevin , NET Yield is what the investor gets i believe, not the GROSS yield. i'm meeting with Evolve ETFs tomorrow ill ask them, since they have a similar Cash etf. Make sure to watch that video probably out in 2 weeks :)
Perfect timing. I'm retired and my monthly PI is more than I need so I'm reinvesting each month. I'm planning to buy a place in the next couple of years and since I'm not sure where the market will be I've decided to park more of my PI distributions in cash so I don't risk selling at a loss when I need the money. Like I said, perfect timing !
Great video and good to know there are other options out there. Motive financial is paying 3% on their high interest savings account, just wonder how taxation compares between the funds and the savings account.
I know you've talked about the psychological effect of covered calls as opposed to growth investing, how do you feel about paying off a mortgage vs investing
Hi, I paid my house $40000, 40 years ago; the market price is now $600000....meaning a 7% yield. If you invest, you pay a rent but no taxes, and you could beat that 7%, if inflation is not going to the roof. @@PassiveIncomeInvesting

And also the hidden fees within the above structures, such as TER.
...oh, and also focussing on growth ETF's with the above structures. Invesco is certainly pushing the envelope in this realm and IMHO may folks don't even realize they're buying Swaps!
Are these best to hold in a TFSA?
Are HISA ETFs market risk free for the capital invested. Can their values drop if interest rates drop.
I just feel bad for ppl who bought QYLD at 24 or 25 and now will get a .15 distribution:( JEPI/JEPQ killin it.
Don’t feel bad , because I don’t ….
With BMO Investorline High Interest Savings account you can get 2.9% with no fees currently!

hi there, i cannot provide recommendations via comments. but 6 months is short. i would go with a short bond option . maybe SPAY.U
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting Thanks. I will look at SPAY.U. Also found HISU. Will look at both. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Regards.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the overall market, rate hikes and inflation and if it's effecting your investing strategy or outlook.
Are Dividends from a CASH ETF, taxed by the CRA as Canadian Eligible Dividends, or as Capital Gains?
Neither … Regular income
Can you recommend a government bond? It seems there are so many of them. How does one choose one? Thanks
My recommendation is to stay away from them . Much better options out there
thanks for the video I assume it works like an etf? any amount I want to add ? for any amount of time? I see many using CASH on Blossom social. What about Eqbank? any thoughts on it? I wish the banks would offer a savings account with a decent int rate thanks.
yes its an ETF
Wouldn't banks such as Simplii financial with a rate of 4.75 in their high interest savings account outperform everything you mentioned?
I think these reported rates are only for a short promotional time, which is quite misleading. They are not annual rates if I am not mistaken.

I am wondering the same.
How are these distributions/dividends taxed in a nonregistered account? Eligible Dividend or taxable income?
interest, its interest on cash, so the worst taxed
This is useful. The only problem i have is in TD Webroker none of these can be purchased. I would have to move my TFSA to a different broker. Are you aware of any similar ETF that can be obtained on TD.
its because they are in competition with TD's savings account
Perfect for the New celi app
Thanks for this video. Didnt know these existed. May replace m long term savings w one. Ill look onto them more
If we were to invest in one of these in a margin account, how would the dividends be taxed? like interest, or dividends?
Interest
Good job in putting together such a nice and useful video for Cash Saving ETFs. Learnt quite a bit. Easy to follow! All the best!
Glad it was helpful!
Trick question right? get it invested :)
I cant find any of these on RBC investing. Is it a conflict of interest or something
unfortunately yes :(
Is it safe to park my emergency fund using these ETFs?
yes , i think i proved that in the video :)
What does the king think about ZWU?
i like it! its in HDIV
Love the new intro
Very interesting video , it 's what i was looking for, you save me a lot of time researches thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Since you reinvest is the reason your monthly income continues to grow!
yes of course! i always suggest to keep investing regularly!
What about dividends etf (like zdv) vs these ?
well that's not "cash" :) this was just to show where you can actually leave it and make some interest instead of the bank
How about invest in US Treasury bill/note/ bond? 1 year almost 4% risk free. Is it good choice ?
Nice! This deserves my subscription. While checking these 3 etfs I just found also HSAV which doesn't distribute but reinvests it, seems attractive too, Have you talked about this kind?

That’s insane … don’t worry about a meltdown my friend lol
You could dfn or ftn, class A share. The price isn't 100% stable but stays close enough to $10 and you can get 5-6% yield.
You mean the preferred share
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting all daily savings etfs
Class A split funds also work
you mean prefs :)
Would you consider this a replacement for Bonds ETF?
Not really . It’s just to park cash
Awesome info. Never knew about these.

You forgot the Horizons CASH ETF...
no i didn't ... you forgot to watch the entire video :)

It say 1.15% yield on webull and WS
stop looking at WS Yields...
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting why are the WS yields all messed up?
Wealthsimple shows a trailing yield relative to the 12 previous months, not the projected yield.
Yup , it’s probably the number 1 question I get
Wondering how the Net Yield of 3.59% of Purpose Cash is calculated?
Hi Kevin , NET Yield is what the investor gets i believe, not the GROSS yield. i'm meeting with Evolve ETFs tomorrow ill ask them, since they have a similar Cash etf. Make sure to watch that video probably out in 2 weeks :)
So the distributions from these ETFs are considered dividend or interest? The difference will impact taxes.

great video, very timely considering many excellent ETF's are dropping in price at the moment.
Can you explain why the yield is expected to by about 2.5% when the fund claims to return 3.6%? Great video thanks!
im not 100% sure. maybe they have to pay fees on their end?
It's even lower on TradingView.... mmmh. Food for thought.
Maybe because you have to factor in the management expenses, i.e. MER?
Because hisa rates weren't that good a year ago... it's taking a yearly average.
Liked!
Thanks!
What is needed for the stock market to collapse or stay flat? Is this realistic for the current conditions of the world?

Nice video. I use preferred shares of split fund for that purpose. It turns around $10 plus or minus, but the yield is much higher.😁
and not highly taxed as interest
yup i discuss those in a previous video "safety ETFs" but this was specifically for CASH
unfortunately TD direct investing doesn't allow you to pick up these etfs!!
