How to make tissue paper rose flower with wrapping method / Valentine's day craft

Please watch above video on computer or laptop to see the instructions given using annotations
Things used: Tissue paper, skewer, floral tape,thread, glue, scissors.
I used 3 different size papers....2.5, 3 and 3.5 inch width paper stripes. First with 2.5" width paper make smaller petals for inner layer and with 3" width paper make medium size petals for the middle layer and with 3.5" width paper make bigger petals for the outer layer.All 3 stripes are 20 inches longs .While wrapping, some times you may have to wrap tightly and sometimes little loose to get the petals in the right place

I would like to ask one question...where do you find the green 'tape' to make it look like a stem?
Elizabeth Downey It is called floral tape. I got mine from India...but you can buy them at walmart....or any online stores...just google search" floral tape in green". Let me know if you have any doubts...Happy rose making!!!

By far the easiest paper tissue rose made that I have seen yet...really nice

This is so cool!!! I love how you curl the petals on each side: it's the exact shape of a real rose petal. You've managed to perfect a method that makes it look really real, really well crafted (even though it's just tissue paper!) and really pretty. Good job :)

Yes, I think this is the most efficient way. I've seen a few already where they manually paste on each individual petal and I wondered if there was a way to simply wrap a string of petals. And here you've done it.

Thank you so much for giving me roses for my Chinese origami vase. I have been having trouble twisting origami roses correctly so, I was eager to try something different. I really like this tutorial and the instructions were easy to follow and didn’t skip anything.
In cutting out my strips of petals, I discovered I could cut a sort of “S” from one side to the other leaving an uncut strip at the top and bottom and get two strips of petals and no waste. I made the petals at one end a little larger than the ones at the other end and they worked well. I wanted smaller flowers so I used 1 ½, 2 and 2 ½ inch strips and that also seemed to work.
My only probable is my layers of petals keep slipping lower and lower on my stick making my rose look more like a steep mountaintop rather than a ball. My flowers are pretty but they don’t look like any flower I have ever seen. I am going to add another strip or two of petals even with the first layers and see what happens
I am looking forward to using some of your other tutorials.
