I was looking for a video to help buy a new pre workout, and I couldn't have found a better channel to help me pick one out! The way you explained the ingredients and their uses in an understandable way really helped out a lot...Thank you!!
Honestly this is such a great review! You did all the work that I would have done myself and probably wouldnt have been detailed as you! Thanks allot for such great effort! Honesty you should review more products you might like! I'm sure I would follow a similar path!
I really appreciate your review. Have you had a chance to test the Jesse James version of Bulk? In this they basically halved the amount of BCAAs to 2 g, included 1.6 g of nooLVL, 50 mcg of Huperzine, doubled the amount of AstraGin and also increased the amount of Vitamin B12 from 100 to 250 mcg. The price is the same. I have used both Bulk V1 and V2 for years and now consider if I should try the JJ version. Have anybody tried both and have an opinion about it?
Glad you liked it! I have not had the chance to check it out. I actually didn’t realize it was a different formula. I thought it was just a special flavor collaboration. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
@@RyanTreadaway Thanks for taking the time to reply and you are welcome. Also loved your Versa Gripps review. I will go for the Jesse James version this time to try something new and BCAAs are not making much sense pre workout anyway. The pre workout market is pretty shady. Many of the US made formulas contain ingredients that are banned in Europe. Thus I stick to a brand I trust. Do you happen to know if the 300 mg Alphasize (alpha GCP) TL use is 50% or 100% by assay. It's not specified and this is another place where the supplement companies can be "creative" on their label. Most will actually use the 50% alpha GCP for practical reasons because the compound is very hygroscopic. This obviously affects the effective dose in the pre workout
Just found your channel. Great review! I'm interested in this pre-workout but also see they have a bulk black version, Have you tried that or have any thoughts on that? Great video! Thanks!
Yes! I use Bulk Black on days when I haven't already had much caffeine since it has more in it than the regular Bulk. I love this company! All their products are great.
Do you feel it's safe to supplement zinc pills and also take this preworkout? 30mg from the pre and then a separate zinc pill on top seems to be pushing the safe limit from my research for long term health. Just curious of your opinion on this.
I’m not legally qualified to give medical advice but I would agree with you that taking bulk plus a zinc supplement does seem to be pushing the limit. It may not be a good idea.
Just ordered my first tub, was gonna go with Gorilla Mode but I am in Canada and the shipping costs were ridiculous. Why is there no creatine in this formula? I do supplement creatine in my post workout protein shakes, would this be the best way to go about it?
I believe it was purposely left out because most people already supplement creatine separately. You can definitely just keep adding it to your post workout.
@@RyanTreadaway Thanks for the reply! This will definitely be the first "good" pre workout I've used, I've been using C4 ultimate for awhile. I'm excited to see the difference!
I have some but haven't used it yet. I try to use as little caffeine as possible so that when I do use it, it hits harder. 300mg is a lot of caffeine to take on a regular basis. I actually bought L citrulline from TL and just add 2g of citrulline to regular bulk.
I took a quick glance at it. From what I can see, the changes are all positive. The only thing is 275mg is a lot of caffeine. I personally don't recommend most people take that much. If 180 mg (the dose in regular Bulk) doesn't energize you, you should take 2-3 weeks away from caffeine to resensitize your body to caffeine.
@@RyanTreadaway i just got my bulk pre workout orange flavor. only question i have is i work graves.. i drink about 2-4 red bulls a week. on days off i would workout.. i may have to stop taking red bulls... Or maybe just use 1/2 scoop for gym sessions ? the red bulls are 8.4 oz cans.
I was all in until you said most pre workouts only have 1 to 2 grams of beta alanine. Literally 90% of pres have 3.2 grams so I don't know what you've been looking at. I get it your an affiliate and appreciate the honesty but I truly don't know what pre's you've looked at in the past.
I am an affiliate but I'm also an affiliate of many other supplement companies as well as a Bodybuilding affiliate and Amazon affiliate so the affiliate part can't really affect my opinions on one pre vs another. There are several that have 3.2g but even if there's 3.2g that's still almost a full gram under what seems to be the minimum effective dose. Also, keep in mind this video is almost a year and a half old. Some companies could have reformulated in that time. -Ghost has 3.2 now but used to have like 1 or 2g of beta-alanine if I'm remembering correctly. - Alani Nu has 1.6 - C4 has 1.6 - Jack3d is a proprietary blend so we don't know how much it has. - Optimum Nutrition has 1.5 - Jym has 2 - Bucked Up has 2 - Kaged has 1.6 - Mr Hyde has 1.5 - One More Rep has none - Muscletech has 1.6 - N.O. Xplode is part of a proprietary blend but the whole blend is 2.9g so I'm guessing there's 2g or less of beta-alanine. So several of the ones I remember have upped their dosages but are still lacking. Bulk still has 2-3x the beta-alanine of MOST pres.
@@RyanTreadaway Well, number one you know I'm just a guy on the internet....thank you for feeling strongly enough to defend yourself in such an articulate and thorough way......but that doesn't change the fact you cherry picked the walmart specials and some companies that have literally 10 plus versions of their preworkouts like NO-Xplode and C4. If you have ever been to a traditional supplement store you will see the OVER WHELMING consistency of 3.2 grams on MOST preworkouts. I feel the need to say MOST as I'm sure you will argue semantics. WIth that said if someone is that ill informed in this day and age to buy preworkouts from most of those brands or from Walmart, they are basically a tard. We have super computers in our pockets. Unless you have performed scientific studies, which I'm not saying you haven't, the general consensus is that 3.2 is the FULL clinical dose! Also, did you remember to tell your viewers beta alanine is best dosed through out the day? I disagree. Many people take creatine separate from their preworkout. Plus, if you're getting creatine through your preworkout, you will either not get creatine on non-workout days or you'll have to buy a separate tub of creatine anyway.
They are sour. lol Malic acid is very very sour. Any preworkout with citruline-malate is going to be sour. Personally, I love sour things though so I don't count that as a bad thing.

Just noticed this as well. That'd be sick if they updated it to the more effective dosage.

I've not taken that one. I don't have the label in front of me at the moment but if bio freak is the one I'm thinking of, Bulk is better.
So if I take a multivitamin and collagen everyday I can’t use this or can I?
Why wouldn't you be able to? What is your concern from mixing them?
