I recently got back into Barbie collecting after an over 20 year absence, and at first I was so excited about all the body shapes, until I discovered how hard it is to get clothes and shoes to fit the dolls. What made it worse was the poor quality of the clothes - orders from Temu and AliExpress were the same or better quality for 1/3 the price of clearanced Mattel. I bought a lot of about 20 Mattel fashion packs before I realized how disappointing they would be, and in the meantime, taught myself to sew doll clothes. It's really sad that after only a month of sewing, I prefer my hand sewn stuff to Mattel. Looks like the prices there are similar to my area. Dolls with a lot of fashions are so tempting to me - I've bought 2 clearanced to half price. I feel so bad for modern Ken :( aside from the poorly made wedding tux, they dress him like a bum - at least I haven't seen any nice fashions for him by Mattel. One of my first sewing projects was dressy trousers, long sleeve shirt, vest, and tie so Ken could get a date lol. Sad about the minority representation being absent there. I spent most of my life in the city and now live in a rural area, and I think that has affected my mixed feelings about buying African American dolls. In the city, not enough were put out, so I avoided buying because I didn't want to take away the chance for an AA person to get them, but where I live now, they are usually last to sell out, first to clearance, so I feel I need to buy to keep the demand up. It's just hard to break the idea I'm keeping some child from having a doll that looks like them or someone in their family :/ Side note, when I was a kid, it seemed all the AA Barbies were just bland white Barbie done in darker skin tone, and frankly it felt like Blackface and more insulting than not having representation. Like Mattel was saying you were only beautiful enough to be a doll if you looked like the blonde haired/blue eyed standard, and to this day - even though I know people come in all sorts of face types - I still get annoyed at AA dolls that have a traditionally white doll face sculpt.
Creating doll clothing is something I love too, I'm not the most talented in terms of customizing, rerooting and repainting but pretty crafty with a sewing machine and it's something that has become a creative outlet for me other than creating doll related content. Thank you for watching 💖
@@dontcallmedoll you're welcome! I do so enjoy your content. Sewing can be so relaxing - hard to think of what bills are due when you're trying to figure out what parts of the lining to sew so you can leave the smallest seam LOL
30+ Looks... 1 look of disapproval, 2 look of contempt, 3 look of disappointment, 4 of anger, 5 of frustration, 6 annoyance... the list goes on and on...🤣
It’s horrible compared to the one released around Christmas time. I use those pieces all the time! I wouldn’t use any of these 3xcepr maybe the 2 pink tops and some shoes/jewelry. Everything is so cheap 💀
❤ the clothes and accessories. Hope to see more videos soon.
Yaaaaay it's always fun to "virtually" go shopping on your videos!
The prices are way better there than here!
I love fashion paks!! Mix n match plus accessories ✨️ million doll is cute also...ty
I didn't really like the fashions but seeing them on the doll, they're all really cute! Nice video!

Hi beautiful I want Doll
I think the green cactus belt is meant to be a crossbody bag, as seen with Barbie Fashionistas doll #157.
30+ looks with only screen printed pieces 🤨
Maybe by turning some of the clothes inside out 🤭😄😶😶🌫️
