I'm reading Lucy's book now and sure enough, when Desi was asked what he did to change (after they reconcile in 1944,) he said he now sleeps with the windows open, at night, because Lucy likes it that way.
Sorry but as Bob Hope said, I can't understand what Lucy saw in Gary...

The whole time I was watching the Olympic gold medalists, the Marine just kept intriguing me. I kept thinking I knew who he was, but couldn't place him until he was introduced - Billy Mills. It was the uniform I guess, and I'd seen him in the 1964 Olympics, on the cover of Sports Illustrated, Olympics Hall of Fame ceremony, etc. He and Jim Ryun were heroes to this young boy. Love seeing these old shows - keep'em coming!!

Of the 4 military gold medal winners on the show as of 3/20/16 all are still living except Lt. William Stowe of the navy who died last month.

That closing scene is pretty bawdy for the day, but it shows how much had changed in the sexual revolution by 1965. I think it would have been unacceptable just 10 years earlier. The series started in 1952, and it still "feels" very 50's 13 years later, but that closing is very 60's. "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" were just a few years away.

She's the 1965 National Easter Seal Chairwoman and I started a year later in 1966. Her daughter Lucy Arnez continues in her mother's tradition.

That bit about Brando @4:30 was thin ice but I bet no one in the audience picked up on it and the panel probably didn’t til after. His publicist worked overtime trying to keep a lid on his goings-on. But Brando made no effort to hide that side of his life. He genuinely didn’t care, which drove his wives away. Women thought they could “change” him but that was never going to happen.
