- A viewer extension request for Xenosaga Episode II's OST.

One of the most epic battle themes
Always get chills from the section at 1:07
I swear if this EVER came to PS5….bruh. I’m locked in the man cave for a week lol
Honestly, same!
The only reason I'd leave my man cave was to go to work, and get food. Have my own mini-fridge for my cactus cooler (the real gamer fuel) and grind the shit out of my Class points because grinding those is an absolute nightmare!
"Mystic Powers! Grand me a miracle!"
"Open Ether Drive!"
Honestly Momo's voice for that in this one sounded terrible.

thanks a lot, i dont know why this song never got extended, its so cool! hopefully more people can use this in the backgrounds of videos or something
Good times.
The character battles in Xenosaga 2 were so damn cool... I don't know why they went backwards in 3. The boost system.. down and air combos and tag team attacks were so fuckin sick. One of my most favorite turned based battle systems in a jrpg for sure. Right up there with Mana Khemia.
The problem is that you're essentially forced to engage with every aspect of this needlessly complex battle system in order to do even remotely good damage in even the most basic of fights.
Enemy HP pools are usually bloated and the fact that enemies can EASILY turn the tables on you if you're not careful means you can't really turn your brain off during them.
This makes each fight tedious and slow to get through.
It's a GREAT system for boss fights. But in random encounters, it's just ugh
Heavily agree, been playing it recently and it's been fun but a drag at the same time lol
@@tonberry2670 I think what you're describing made the battle system great for me, there's so many jrpgs where you really can just turn your brain off most of the time and battles are just busywork. I thought it was so cool to have one where you actually have to always be on your toes and thinking about the best way to get through battles. I've definitely played ones that take this too far and ask you to think about too many different variables, but I think XS2 struck a really good balance.
Not dissing the franchise but i never played the first one and i remember renting this when it came out wanting something different and i waa fluking my way through battles not having a fogging clue wtf anything was haha 🤣🤣🤣 all i remember to this day about this game is something about a large crater, a red head called junior, blobde dude called albido and some nerdy girl like the robot chick in the poster. Looking back on it tho there gameplay styles that made this feel like a star ocean game of sorts
That’s honestly about all you really need to know. :V
