- Many of you asked for it, so here it is. Daki takes a look at the Type 71 and its cooling mechanics to see whether this tank is actually enjoyable, or just a gimmick.

World of Tanks (WoT) is a massively multiplayer online game developed by the company Wargaming, featuring mid-20th century (1930s-1960s) era combat vehicles. It is built upon a freemium business model where the game is free-to-play, but participants also have the option of paying a fee for use of "premium" features. The focus is on player vs. player gameplay with each player controlling an armoured vehicle.
Daki, I appreciate you commentate in the start and middle of the 2nd battle - analysis of team comp, where they could play and when to get away, when your team falls in the city. I think this needs more recognition and I think people will learn so much from commentating like this. Love your content and have a chill day!

What we wanted: heavies that can choose to make clean snipes by waiting instead of taking back to back snaps
What we got: they happen to be very slightly more accurate if you don't see anyone to shoot for a while, it's never worth holding a shot for the mechanic

I dont understand why every new tank needs some stupid gimmick
Because WG thinks otherwise people wouldn't grind them. It all started with the Chinese TD line that was quite meh and inferior to the 268 line of the Soviets on release so almost nobody cared to grind them out.

New stuff is interesting they just need to implement well
It’s why everyone complains about the number of Object tanks in the game because they are boring after 70 of them
Because we don't need new tanks we need new maps. Every map they have released since HD looks like it was designed by a 8YO

The new channel is very good to improve by looking at live gameplay of specific tanks. Too me those live games, like 2h of let's say 50B, could help me improve on the tanks and according map a LOT. Im kinda stuck at 4K dpg and can't help myself to go above and beyond, so the new channel is exaclty what im searching in wot content to improve. On twitch you can't just search on unlimited vods, on wotreplay you only see the working games not the hard ones and that what im looking for.
It's rare to see daki misplay so hard, in the second game you were right to run away, but the way you did it was crazy :D
What this tank needs in terms of buff is either increasing it’s speed, making the turret front and front armor alittle more sturdier. Give the ability a lot less cooldown because no one in the right mind is gonna sit infront of a tank while waiting for the cooling mechanic to work.
Daki you right about spending a lot of resources in realising this tank and again we had a lot of expectation when we saw another line of Japanese heavys that later failed in our eyes😢😢😢
2-300 higher dpm than s.conq would also have been cool to me, with the drawback of the gun being inaccurate until cooldown
in essence making it more versatile, by pumping out shots at short range and being stable enough for long ronge, could still be frustrating tho if shooting long range for an extended period of time in game, and being limited by gun barrel being too hot
yes, i know nowadays the dpm of type is higher than s.conq but they were pretty close before
According to the stats on the NA server more people have finished the obj 279e missions than gotten a type 71
The worst part of the tank is the gun rammer, or anything for that matter, does not decrease the cooldown time, so it becames useless in heavy tank fights
I really wanted to like this tank, but the closer I got to T10 the more I started to dislike the line. Granted, I almost got my first 10k (9.8 I think) with Type 71.
DPM is nice though, if the gun doesn't troll.
Oh, remembered, the arties, jesus christ, same as with STB.
imo buff the HP by 300, increase alpha to 440, decrease reload by 0.5 seconds, increase frontal armor by 40mm and side by 15mm

To buff this tank without making it ridiculous i think they need to buff the upper hull. As well as make the gun accuracy a little better when not cooled, but keep the cooled accuracy the same.
On a side note. I dont know why they gave this tank a hydroneumatic suspension. It makes the tank infinitly more annoying to play as well as making it pennable by tier 6's hull down
I think it would be cool if along with the improved dispersion after waiting it also increased alpha and or penetration
wouldnt this skill be perfect for a sniper td? imagine this skill on a grille 15, you could finally hit your shots :D
The way of dealing with unbalanced premium tanks is fairly simple. They can just offer a new premium tank as a free rental tank for like 2 to 3 weeks before selling it. That will allow Wargaming to balance the tank before selling it. It will give them the necessary freedom to implement interesting mechanics that aren't blatantly OP like the BZ-176 is.

to be honest if this tank could get bonus damage for the extra time it has to wait, plus the extra accuracy, it would be definitely worth it, add 40 damage so that you deal 440 damage at 9-10s time and it would be awesome
Ya I think this would be a solid way to improve the mechanic, because if it's just a linear decrease in dispersion like Daki was saying, it would be no different than the regular aiming mechanic, just would be a long aim time.
They could have just given the cooling mechanic to the stb. Would have made that thing's gun less frustrating.
It can't hull down because of trash upper plate, even full hull down if there is a slither of hull even tier 8s pen it. Then it's slow for a tank with really bad for a tank with trash hull armour, has shoulders and terrible upper plate so can't sidescrape either. So it can basically hull down in perfect hull down positions and is free HP whilst it tries to get to them and even in perfect hull down still has a decently large cupola as well. Plus 400 alpha so doesn't trade well and the DPM is nothing special. It just doesn't offer very much.
the cooldown is buffed by crew skill, so Vents are better than rammer on this tank imo, if you want to use the perk often
They keep missing the mark on the tier 9 premiums to. It is like they say, "ok this is playable, now lets nerf it so it isn't fun".
Thats kinda the point tho tbh. I mean these are the early tier IX premiums, so whilst you have standouts like the Char and 752, they are aiming for them to be like the early Lowe, T34 and KV-5, i mean, aguable the WZ-114 is worse but the rest are sorta at that level. The E77 being very much a side grade/worse than the E75 is clear.
@@zdinc7268 The char is ok, I dont have the 752 so I cant really comment on that. The only one I actually grind credits with though is the TL-7. The others that I have are not really fun to play (WZ-114,. T54D, STRV K, T54 Heavy). I stopped buying them now, there really isn't much of a point in buying tanks that aren't at least fun to play.
It's been a while since vk72 soo maybe a compare to e100? (since you play tanks you don't like )

This tank is far away from mediocre. Compare it to the NERFED sconq, sconq has way better armor, way better gun handling (similar if you wait in the type), similar DPM to the inaccurate type (or way better than type if you prefer accuracy), similar mobility, better gun depression all around...

It should have gotten 340 heat or 340 pen gold in general, 5 mph faster at least and a upper plate that tier 8’s can’t auto pen .. and speed up ability

I think the default dispersion mechanic of the game is in need of refining to begin with. Nothing is more annoying than shooting 5 times to a stationary target and see each shot go to anywhere other than the target itself. Longer wait - better dispersion and/or more shots you fire to same target, more accurate it gets should be the default for everything. But it is understandable that they wouldn't want to mess with very fundamentals of the game. If you are going to introduce such perk in a line though, yes it should be much more pronounced. This line was a completely boring and uninteresting failure like the Yoh tank line or British cars. They all are just worse versions of existing tanks with a hardly useful quirk.

I'm watching your stream on twitch from time to time and the frequency of high damage games in range of 5k+ is soo big, I think if people want to see such games, which you want to upload on second channel, they can just watch you on twitch...
I like, that you're not spamming standard games here, it's kind of a quality promise
But you can’t search on twitch, vods there arnt very friendly for search ability

Either a stronger upper plate, fitting for a heavy tank or a 560 Alpha gun, nerf reload a bit so its not broken ofc, 10-12s instead of 7s but with 560 alpha this tank would feel "impactful" and "more rewarding" when you hit your sniping shots, right? Instead of the.... laughable 400 lmao. Like, noone cares if they take a 400 dmg shot. But 440? Its more noticeable. 490? Thats a good alpha right there.
But given this tank can even get penned in the face by my Jagdpanzer (i just shot him randomly in the mantlet and it was the only weakspot lmao) so it doesnt even have the very reliable turret unlike Super Cock, S Cock or Ass Cock (funny names i gave it lmao), this tank doesnt have a workable upper plate which you cant even overangle sideways because the effective thickness is trash even at that angle and heats will go right through, alpha is unnoticeable...dpm is good but the dispersion if you decide to use that dpm? Laughable. Thats why i said 560 alpha is more fitting.
