Carmen Salvino was a real showman and a great bowler. We will miss seeing him in competition, but we're glad he's still alive and can enjoy his success thru the years. Well deserved, Mr. Salvino!
Love you guys. I’m 57 and wanted to be on tour back in the 80’s. I get to live my dreams through you guys. I love the window into the PBA life you guys have created. What a blessing. You guys got the personality plus to do these blogs.
Got to admit.. tear in the eye for Carmen Salvino. I skipped school back in 1978 or so to go watch him in this house. Had his autograph, along with a whole bunch of other legends from the TOC on a program from back then.. someone walked off with it.. Carmen was a gentleman back then when I approached him for his autograph, as were most of the others. Looked like he still had some good velocity on his shot. Thanks for letting us in on the moment.
I used to watch him when I first started bowling 60 years ago. He is one of the reasons I love bowl so much. When he started to talk I had tears in my eyes. God bless you Carmen.
I grew up watching and learning how he did what he did best, BOWLING,cut and dried, what a wonderful gift we got from him, and that famous smile you can't buy anywhere. We love you Carmen
Carmen Salvino was a hell of a bowler, the best bowler ever from Chicago. He is an even better ambassador for the sport of bowling. God Bless you Carmen. #KeepGrinding Kyle.
I have been competitive bowling for 41 years in many towns (in 63 and my average is around 216). One thing I have observed in every competitive bowling league is that half or more of the very top bowlers are of Italian descent, even if the community barely has any. Last Tuesday on my league a guy got a 278-300-279=857. The previous week he got an 817. Don't expect to win when you bowl him. I have tried to figure it out and the best I can come up with is Italians got Bocce in their blood and we don't.
Kudos to Kyle for bowling 14 games yesterday and getting the video posted by 8:00 on the east coast this morning. Good luck today and be thankful you're not left-handed this week! Brutal week for the lefties by my count: 39. Rhino Page 43. Jesper Svensson 45. Parker Bohn III 46. Gary Faulkner Jr 49. Matt Sanders 54. Anthony Pepe 56. Ryan Ciminelli 57. Jakob Butturff 58. Graham Fach
Carmen was one of my bowling idols when I was a kid. I'm so glad I got to see him throw those shots. Kyle, your ball from the break to the pocket is looking fab!
That was really nice footage on Carmen Salvino. The PBA isn't the NFL, but for fans like myself it is much better. I like that Mr. Salvino can be involved in modern competitive bowling, something he was part of creating. So back in 1992 I bought a new VW Corrado (which I still own). The salesman wanted me to come Saturday afternoon to consummate the deal. I told him I can't be there until 5:30p because of the TOC.
I got the privilege of hanging out with Carmen through my old coaches Barry Asher and Mark Baker when I was a junior bowler. The man was so genuine and jovial, took us to his favorite pastrami shop near Fountain Valley and got to spend the day at Ashers house with Carmen and Danny Wiseman eating some great pastrami, hearing them talk about the tour and their hilarious stories. That's a day I'll never forget.
That is why I love this game. Great history and great statesmen of the sport. Carmen you have inspired generations to come. Thank you for helping start this association.
Met Carmen 25 years ago or so when he was the star of the Great, Greater, Greatest charity event back in Schenectady. It was an awesome tribute putting his final frame on the vlog. The game has changed over the years but the pioneers deserve all the respect you can afford them.
Wow! What a vlog! Now I'm showing my age............but I remember watching Carmen Salvino on TV in black and white when I was a kid. That was so cool to see him. What a legend and by the looks of it he would beat me bowling no doubt! Good luck Kyle.
Proud for the sport of Professional Bowling that the finals of it's Tournament Of Champions is on one of the major networks in the prime time for sports, which is Sunday afternoon. Respect for the sport and it's storied history is finally being restored. Kyle making the show would be icing on the cake.
I know you were standing on a ball return to give that perspective on Carmen Salvino. As a boomer who grew up watching the greats, thank you for that great perspective.
Brad and Kyle or Kyle and Brad hey all jokes aside you guys have no clue what joy I get to get on here and watch you guys my bowling sucks still but I'm workin on my mental game gotta let bad frames go instead of dwell on it but yes man I get up every morning watch these videos man and it honestly makes my day by the end of the video I find myself wishing u made longer vids props to y'all man stay pushing!!!
10:17 JILLI-BEAN!!!! You guys don't fully understand how good she is. My boys have bowled with her in tournaments and matches, and she's been a beast for the past 5 -6 years!!!!
Carmen Salvino not only a legendary bowler on the lanes but also a pioneer in the science of bowling. He was one of the developers of bowling balls designed to hook because of non solid cores.
Have to admit I enjoy geth g vids more regularly but that's only bc Brad has the time.... so I dont mind going back to 1 or 2 vids a tourney bc that means you guys are both killin it!!!!. Keep grinding boys !!! Congratulations on the success and more to come!!! Let's go kyle time for a big day today make that show dude!!!👊👊👊👊
Nice work on the video B & K. Always great to get some behind the scenes action and watch the steps that all of the guys take in trying to make the top 24 and the top 5. To see how touched a legend like Salvino was along with everyone's response was great too. Keep up the good work fellas!
I'm just going to say this: I know subscriptions are subscriptions and I respect that. But, kudos to you guys for showing the scene with Carmen Salvino (who I met and is the classiest of guys) and I didn't have to :: cough :: pay $200 to see it... now Kyle, get on the show!
Can you guys think about doing a video on what you need to do to get a new ball drilled. From when you pick it out until you have to ready for the lanes.
My dad was strictly a 200 average amateur and in the 70s at a pro-am in Battle Creek he was paired up with Carmen Salvino and Roy Buckley. In the middle of his qualifying, Carmen went out of his way to give my dad some bowling tips which meant the world to my dad. Truly a gentlemen!
I jab at you guys occasionally like I do with friends or others I like. Joking aside even if you never win (but you will) you're living the life. Compete hard but remember to enjoy it. Learn from the mistakes and grow but don't sweat it. Just go for it. #ballsout
Carmen bowled in it when it use to be called The Firestone Tournament Of Champions back in the day on ABC with Chris Schenkel and Bo Burton. The premiere event in bowling.
When Salvino broke into the pro bowling scene in the 1950s he was one of the few players who could rip the cover off of a ball yet still be accurate enough to be an elite player. When lanes and lane conditions changed by the end of the 1960s Carmen reinvented his game to become a straight player and enjoyed some of his best seasons ever on tour.
I'm 77 years old, former PBA member and tournament player. Just wondering, with todays long formats, what is the typical nutrition intake schedule for the day that keeps you going? How much time do you spend conditioning either in your room or gym? Totally enjoy (and miss) the behind the scenes action!
What did you think about the jagged edge hybrid? It was actually my first ever ball I drilled and I’ve loved it so far. Needless to say I’ve in been bowling for a few months on house leagues, no thumb Tom Daugherty style bowler and been averaging 170-200
Damm Kylie, 213.62 the 6th highest average of t the tourney! Just a couple breaks and you make the show! In game 20 against Brad Angelo you would have beat 246-235 had you only carried in the 4th! Get a strike in the 9th instead and you tie; Blanchard only shoots 255 against you in game 24; Game 25 all you needed was a strike in the 2nd or 4th and you would have been awarded the 30 bonus pins by winning 214-202...you would have also got the bonus by striking in the 9th and winning 203-202; a different outcome against O'Neill in game 30 could have come to fruition had your fortune done a 180° and you struck in the 2nd, 4th, or 6th frame making the final score 205-203. Also, if he wouldn't have struck in the 9th, 10th or 11th you would have won 195-192, 195-183 or 195-182 respectively. If only you got one more strike against Angelo and Dombrowski in the 1st round of match play you would have received 102 more pens and then in fourth place at the end of the round. After round two you would have been in fifth place with an extra 102 pins. Then at the endof23 games and matchplay would have been in four places and teed up against Belmo for the final 30 pins. The game you lost against Williams would have meant a whole lot more had you been in fourth place and it was against Jason! ANyway my final thought is I believe you are a lot closer than you think you are!
Can you guys do a video that explains the details of the PBA bowling ball trailer for those of us that don't know? How it works, what all costs are involved, who can use it ect? Do you layout your own stuff? Things like that. Thanks.
The man, the myth, the legend - Carmen Salvino. So much respect for that guy!
Total class bowler... was a great competitor in his prime.... live long Carmen... 1000% class
Such a classy speech by Parker. I expect nothing less from that man.
Carmen Salvino was a real showman and a great bowler. We will miss seeing him in competition, but we're glad he's still alive and can enjoy his success thru the years. Well deserved, Mr. Salvino!

Question, what is the required bowling ball weight in order to enter pba? Thanks
16 pounds max weight but most of them them throw 15 to 15.5
Good job Carmen sulvino

These boys getting in the game of clickbait, i see you.
Got pumped the second you got the jagged edge because I'm looking into getting that to pair with my cuttuing edge hybrid!!
Living Legend 4 real!
IT WAS GREAT MEETING YOU AT RIVERIA BRAD
RIVIERA
Slightly early congrats on 60,000 subs guys!
Putting Belmo in the thumbnail? Why. Put Salvino. Put respect on his legacy.
I think they were baiting people into thinking it was Belmos last ever.
Shannon Felini I know but I think that’s stupid way to get more views. Your Brad and Kyle people are going to watch regardless.
Ok i cried a little bit when Parker made his speech

What's the background music in this video?
If you watched this and didn't tear up a little when watching the Carmen segment, you would have to be a robot.
I think Carmen's got one more T of C in him.

What do you guys do with the balls you drill for a tournament but no longer use?
Thank you for subscribing to support Bubbles the Chimp. Your monthly donation of $50 will support Bubbles and his habitat.
Kyle should try throwing a katana slash or the intel I think the way the oil is running it would help
2 more frames .....BOOM
Climbed that ladder and avenged Kyle Sherman by beating Belmo. The best game for last 280 and almost nailed the 300.
