- Former Reform UK deputy leader, Ben Habib, joins Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan, discussing the UK’s migrant crisis.
It comes after an asylum claim received at the end of Sir Tony Blair’s tenure as prime minister was still being processed by the Home Office in March.
The oldest case in the system was nearly 17 years old. A further 19 cases were between ten and 16 and a half years old.

Why are these two men not politicians? I live in Australia having left England 50 years ago and am horrified at what has been happening there in the last 10 years. Japan has no difficulty removing trouble-makers within 24 hours of being questioned. No court costs, no legal appeals, just a 1-way strictly supervised removal of any offender, even if it was for merely overstaying their visa time or for not having required documentation on them when stopped by police who randomly check people not of Japanese appearance. Where there is the will, there is the way.

I think the immigration problem in the UK is totally embarrassing, after witnessing the Lebanese people that are being air lifted out of Lebanon and shipped to the UK for their safety, Its embarrasing when cameras record children in class rooms, it is embarassing when cameras record a city/town street, it is embarassing when watching UK TV and it is no wonder the native people of this country do not feel they belong in the UK any longer

and otherside if you living illegally and came on visa from many year ago so you have to wait till 20 years..after 20 year you will be eligible for leave to remain in the uk..shame on them who made this rule..
