I’m 59 years old and going to see them in a club in Kitchener Ontario Canada! Doing this album and the Warning in its entirety! With Armoured Saint opening! Heavy metal heaven!!
1983 -1987listening to kmet at 11pm in Los Angeles first heard them on it every year they made a album I was hooked all through my high school years best metal band ever !🤘🤘🤘
Bought this cassette back in the day because the cover was kinda cool....popped it in and pressed play and they kicked the door in and blew me away with one of the top rock voices of all time!! Saw them live many times. Another excellent selection of an album out of nowhere! Incredible guitar work as well!
The best EP in the history of music. When this came out I had a neighbor who went to a birthday party and the parent gave to each child a bag of goodies, my neighbor came over to me he was a Anthrax fan he told me I need to listen to this cassette, party boy told my neighbor that him and his mom went down to Thrifty store and they had all these different items in a dollar box so they bought many different things. They had no idea who Queensryche were, so he left me barrow it for the night, I put it on cranked it up a bit and the scream at the beginning sent shivers down my spine, what the hell just blasted out of my speakers was insane! The next day I biked up to our local mall stopped at the Record Bar and purchased the EP (Thrifty's) did not have any. That started my appreciation to one of the best Metal bands of all time, have every studio CD recorded.
My cousin's played Bass and drums before they made it big,. Cousins did not play on this AMAZING Ep.. but they did have a toehold in Queensryches beginning.. 🤘 I would have LOVED to see a early show.. they friggin changed music and how singer should SCREAM
GREETINGS from HOPILAND One of the most ultimate bands I've ever heard. I bought the vynil back in high school. Reminds of those days far away from home. My brother's my friends and I all grew up listening to QUEENSRYCHE but they all passed away before they even reached 21 sadly 😥 all alcohol related victims. MAY THE GREAT SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL ALWAYS
Have 2 on original 206 label (vinyl) purchased as imports in USA . Prior to getting signed. Member 102 in fan club back in the day.. I am one of first fans to see the potential here. Thank me later... 😁
OMG !!! Danny this is a MUST for all Metalheads....AWESOME !!! Always borrow this LP from my friend and was on heavy rotation...People might remember them for Silent Lucidity on.....but this is were all started...." Beware of the the Knight "
Done it all. The Vogue in the 90's. The Community World in Tacoma. Then all of a sudden Mother Love Bone was the band They were the birth of grunge. I was at the OK Hotel coffee shop and watched Cornell signing. We used to skip around the Sound Garden. Yes it was a place.
Had this on vinyl. I seen queensryche live when they only had this ep out and no full lengths!! They opened up for DIO when he was touring his first lp holly diver!! It was my first gig i was only 15 at the time!! What a first show to have seen!! I will always remember that night and all the fun we had with friends!!
Thanks danny for a so awesome Sound a nice ep album from this band melodic metal from the 80s is the best a good time my f riend stay care nice day by thomy
Danny, thank you for sharing this killer album & love it. Love the powerful adrenaline of the vocals highlighting the intensity of the adrenalizing sparking harmonies & melodies with the cool songs. Thank you for this great upload!
The IM vibe is what turned me on to them in the first place then by Hear In The Now Frontier they were all Pink Floyd n shit. . . which is okay, except I liked them initially for that hard Iron Maiden sound that was still quite original bc of Tates' vocals. Sigh. IF they would have gone back to hard rock after Empire, I would still be the biggest fan.
Don't you just know that there are thousands, if not millions out there that loved "Silent Lucidity" and have never heard this EP? And yes, I always liked "Silent.......", but they don't really sound like the same band do they?
This is the beginning of Queensrÿche, you can hear the influence of Maiden and Helloween in this record, for the next records the evolution got to another level, the true is that from the first time Queensrÿche were a strong big shotgun.
Real great LP. The voice and some structures of the songs reminds me bit of Carl Sentance / Persian Risk (also their new output past 2010) [Sentance is singer of Nazareth too]
This and warning are really the only things I listened to from this awesome band. Even though I never got into the later releases, they're a great and talented band nonetheless
@@asmrcharlie4605 Ha....I wish that this band could bury their differences and reunite....just not the same without Tate and DeGarmo. I still have this cassette from way back then and it still works, I play it quite often. The cassette doesn't have the bonus track on it.
