CIA Intelligence Analyst (ret) Ray McGovern will be joining us online to provide analysis and commentary about the war in Ukraine and the relationship between Russia and China. Mr. McGovern will also be speaking about the genocide happening in Gaza. Ray McGovern served as a CIA analyst for 27 years during which his responsibilities included chairing the National Intelligence Estimates and preparing and the President's Daily Brief which he would brief to President Reagan's most senior advisors. In 2003, Mr. McGovern co-founded the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) to expose how intelligence was being falsified to "justify" war on Iraq.
The event will be moderated by Edward Curtin. Mr. Curtin is a writer whose work includes poetry, journalism, philosophy and more. - Розваги

Russian is my native language and I like to read books in English, it's like my hobby. I always been struggling with reading poetry in English, it's very different from Russian poetry. It's basically requires you to rewire your brain. And I was amazed how well poetry by Nekrasov was read by Ray. Not every native speaker could read Russian poetry as good as Ray did. It means Mr McGovern put a lot of effort and hard work to understand Russia and Russian culture, and he succeeded. I hope Americans and Russians will end up not killing each other for the profits of few insane cannibals, but creating, sharing and enjoying together works of literature and music.

@@splifstar85I am an American and half Yaqui Indian and If you want to understand our character you should read a book called Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee by Dee Brown especially the section on the Nez Perce Indians. To quote a famous American living at that time Buffalo Bill Cody put it most succently when he said the Nez Perce never broke a single treaty they ever made with America and America never kept a single treaty they ever made with the Nez Perces. America has not changed as the Historian Henry Steele Commager wrote the character of a nation like the character of an individual develops early in life and changes very little throughout their lives. During one battle with the US military some Nez Perce warriors noticed that soldiers were targeting their children. After eliminating the threat they remarked that they must have sick heads, and we and the West still have sick heads. We have always been sick sadistic cowards and always will be. We have perhaps only once had a leader who even comes close to Putin and Xi in integrity, intelligence and copetence and that was George Marshal. He was an aberration however and not representative of the American people, in fact despite the many battles he fought he said his hardest was getting the Marshal Plan passed. I think he probably had even more integrity than Putin and Xi because he refused to ever submit to an election and run for office.
Democracy when viewed from a historical perspective is little better than mob rule. The first democracy was constantly at war. They murdered the philosopher Socatries for the worst crime you can commit in a democracy, namely telling the truth. A thousand years later the democratic process was used to murder the prophet named Jesus. Two thousand years after this democracy was used to wipe out Indians and their culture which is the culture of all Americans. God destroys the roots of nations God wants permanently wiped off the face of the earth and it is being done by our own government.
Russia, China and other civilized ethical nations need to continue to do what they are already doing and build a better world without the West. Democracy also brought Hitler to power, and in just 250 years the blink of an eye in geological time, has transformed our beautiful planet into a dying planet on the brink of destruction if not already past that point. Another book you should read if you want to understand American morality you should read Theodore Parker an anthology by Henry Steele Commager, it is out of print but it can still be purchased. Theodore Parker's words were quoted by both Abraham Lincoln when he said a government of the people by the people and for the people. And by Martin Luther King who said the arc of history is long but it bends toward justice. So what he said before the civil war is still relevant today. I hope this helps you understand why all civilized, ethical nations need to divorce themselves from America.

President Putin stated, in an availability with Russian reporters after his state visit in Vietnam on June 20, that the treaty he signed with Kim Jong Un is a renewal and substantially the same as a treaty the USSR and DPRK signed in 1962 that recently expired.

Thanks to both gentlemen for this conversation. I had the opportunity to see several videos in which Mr. McGovern intervened and showed his knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is critical, but as he stressed, it is not enough. Each one is now responsible for making this knowledge “operate.” Let's do it.
Just a note for Ray: the current CHEIF JUSTICE OF NEW ZEALAND is a Ukranian lady called Helen Winklemann. She came into that position approximately the same time as the covid drama in 2019.

Our current Minister of Defense is a lady called Judith Collins ... ( a like able respected women) however she definitely is a cheer leader for the Ukranian government

There is such a possibility. If her grandfather emigrated from Ukraine after WW2, then 99% he is a Nazi criminal who fled from retribution - and then there is a high probability that the granddaughter of this criminal will absorb Nazism with her mother’s milk.
However, you don’t have to be Ukrainian to be a Nazi. Many people cope with this without having Ukrainian or German Koreans.
For example, a week ago, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau shouted the Nazi slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”, which is a copy of the German “Glory to Hitler! Glory to Victory!” (Heil Hitler! Sieg Heil!). It was Trudeau who invited the old Nazi Gunko to parliament (Russia is seeking Gunko's extradition for trial).
So the problem is deeper than just the descendants of Ukrainian Nazis in power. They just turned out to be ideologically close to the local authorities and therefore easily connect with them.

Ray mentions Ted Postol’s claim that Russia does not have any spaced based missile early warning system is incorrect according to Andrei Martyaniv who served in the Soviet military. Ted is basing his claim on material from the 1990s. According to Andrei, Russia’s EKS 6 satellites in elliptical orbit have the ability of top down surveillance, countering Ted’s claim. Any nuclear launch from anywhere on the earth would be immediately detected, probably quicker than US ability.

Thank you for this discussion on what US foreign policies stood for, how it deteriorated over a period and how it reached its final destruction today. What prompted me to make this point is that the fact that the West drives policies for the past 3 decades on steroids I might add. If you drive policies then it will mean that people that you keep subjugated must devise ways to counter any action with a opposite reaction, this is what brings countries and people together to create a formidable force to counteract these actions, to say it is Russian and Chines policies, to a point a fact but because of US actions. This all can stop today and negotiate a settlement that allows every country to govern itself unimpeded and a non hegemonic economic system is allowed to replace this cowards way of ruling. To the people of the US the church are doing there bit to bring you this information you actions henceforth must be a one of reclaiming your lives and your country, in a nonviolent manner, and never allow a cent of your money to be spent by a lobby group which benefits countries outside the US, a new President is paramount but what can one man do if you do not take this great step to stand with you new appointment by executing change at grassroot levels whilst he take care of the scumbags, enablers, uneducated and inexperienced officials in government, now that is just the start, quit sitting enjoying your Bud whilst your country burns.
PS. I remember after the fall of the wall that Russia was just another country, not treated as an enemy by the media at all; everything was fine. Then one day I noticed a slew of media reports attacking Russia and it kept up and was relentless. Nothing had happened to my knowledge, it seemed very strange.
Instead of keep being poor, weak and helpless country which can be easily plundered, Russia made an attempt to gain real sovereignty and to act on it's own interests. That's what happened.
