Whilst this iteration of "mocking Jeffy's Aethos for SlingMingo's involvement" mod, created a banger and somewhat started the trend, I love how this song doesn't try to replicate Aethos or Shucks exactly and instead tries its own thing, while still maintaining this structural trend of "epic lyric song". Instead of pure speed and "holy ascension", it saves that part for later, as it begins to "rot away" from the beginning, until Annoying Orange reveals the "amazing grace" of death to Apple. *"Molded.... Rotting.... Slowly Decaying...."* *"Oh buddy.... Our Legacy.... I legit don’t know if this my new favorite song of 2024 now. It’s freaking phenomenal and I think has the best cutscene and lyrics in any FNF song. It’s just so nostalgic and depressing. The lines “Buddy, our legacy… it’s over” is true, but still depressing.
It's depressing because it's like a reflection. The show has devolved so much from the glory it once had and it sounds like acceptance of what the world is now. It makes it feel like you playing Apple is actually Apple not wanting to dissappear and be gone, but that point has come and gone so long ago already. The animation even starts with a rotten apple being smashed and the part where you play has Apple descend lower and lower while Orange just calmly repeats that "it's over".
I love the overarching theme of putting things to rest because they've finally become so played out that they've become stale and rotten... and then ending it on the punchline that started the entire endeavor because that shit never gets old for Orange.

This feels random to say but it’s so engraved in my brain I can’t help but type it out I have an old set of oc’s I made back in 5th grade of October out of boredom. I made comics with these small characters that I showed to my friend Evan, and all was good. Then I made new oc’s and they kinda phased out. The top two were pumpcat, a (I guess anthropomorphic) cat made of several pumpkins that was a demon that could fall apart or move its limbs however it wanted. The second one was muggy, a mummy dog with a stitched on cat ear (that I guess was also anthropomorphic). I feel like for the cutscene is pumpcat, like orange is a annoying, silly character finally accepting that the book of comics they are in will never be opened again and they will just Rot away, never coming into light, and trying to convince muggy so. Why did I type all this out…? I don’t know…

I'l admit. I'm very confused on why everyone's so insistent on the lyrics being a metaphor for how the Annoying Orange series has changed. From what I recall, all of the things this song is based on have barely any deep meaning behind them, so like why does this one suddenly give a buncha meaning? It feels more like this is just relating to all the fruits eventually decomposing, as the fruit they still are. This feels random to say but it’s so engraved in my brain I can’t help but type it out
I have an old set of oc’s I made back in 5th grade of October out of boredom. I made comics with these small characters that I showed to my friend Evan, and all was good. Then I made new oc’s and they kinda phased out. The top two were pumpcat, a (I guess anthropomorphic) cat made of several pumpkins that was a demon that could fall apart or move its limbs however it wanted. The second one was muggy, a mummy dog with a stitched on cat ear (that I guess was also anthropomorphic). I feel like for the cutscene is pumpcat, like orange is a annoying, silly character finally accepting that the book of comics they are in will never be opened again and they will just Rot away, never coming into light, and trying to convince muggy so. Why did I type all this out…? I don’t know…
I have a lot of hope for this mod, IF THEY CAN MAKE THIS PEAK OF A SONG FOR ANNOYING ORANGE THAN THIS HAS TO BE A GREAT MOD[that and I hope V2 happens soon in the future and that the mod doesn't suffer a cancellation]

I'l admit. I'm very confused on why everyone's so insistent on the lyrics being a metaphor for how the Annoying Orange series has changed. From what I recall, all of the things this song is based on have barely any deep meaning behind them, so like why does this one suddenly give a buncha meaning?
It feels more like this is just relating to all the fruits eventually decomposing, as the fruit they still are. And "Our legacy...IT'S OVER!" is instead referring to how the channel already straight-up died due to all of the cast having literally rotted.

i find interesting how marshmellow and pear glitch out rather than become monstrous, i'm not completly sure what it's meant to be, though one thing that came to mind was that mellow and pear actually died, permanently, or otherwise disappeard, and Orange hasn't been dealing well with that
