what makes zatanna a low tier on most tier lists? if used at full potential is she still inadequate against characters like Superman or Aquaman, martian manhunter, or any other high tier chars?
She is not as good against martian, aquaman, and black adam, but she's actually pretty even with a lot of other characters. she can get around a spammy superman in the right hands. her main issue is that a lot of her moves are very up close so you have to wait for the right opportunity for putting in pressure, but she has good mix ups and she has vortex once it's started.
idk how i came to this video again but basically her normals are garbage, except for standing 3. A lot of her moves are pretty punishable, too. Especially her trait, which is usually useless against most matchups. And she requires high execution and skill to use her vortex setups properly. But as you can see in the vid, she's hella tricky when in the right hands. Lack of character knowledge from most opponents helps a lot too.
